Yoga isn’t one size fits all.
No one teacher, style or practice will suit everyone, and that’s okay. A phrase you’ll hear me say often in class is: “Take the variation that best suits your body today.”
Child’s Pose is a great example of this. Whether your knees are together or wide, your arms are reaching forward or resting by your sides, your forehead is on the mat or supported by a block, there are many ways to make this pose work for your body. And for some people, none of these variations will feel right, and that’s okay too.
Your practice doesn’t need to look like anyone else’s. The most important thing is that it works for you.
Which version of Child’s Pose is your favourite? 🤍
