Our season has now come to a close, and our players are enjoying a well-deserved break before pre-season gets underway later this month.

Our management team have reflected on the campaign and shared their thoughts on the season.

Team Manager, Lee Smith, sponsored by Cameron Window Cleaning Services, said:

"I'm pleased that we secured our place in the Premier League and reached two semi-finals in my first season as manager, especially considering the majority of the squad joined the club last summer.

It shows just how far this club has come that, despite those achievements, there is still an overall feeling of disappointment with where we finished and not reaching a final to give ourselves the opportunity to lift silverware.

The players will now enjoy a well-earned couple of weeks off before returning for pre-season, where the focus will be on building again and really kicking on for the new campaign."

Assistant Manager, Cameron Love, sponsored by Rowan Muir Ayrshire Retreat, added:

"After returning to the club at the end of last season, it has taken a lot of hard work from both the committee and players to retain our Premier League status and reach two semi-finals.

The players' effort and attitude throughout the season have been excellent. I think it shows how far we have come that we ended the season disappointed with how things finished for us.

I'm looking forward to a month off now before getting back to work on 20th June, welcoming the boys back and hopefully adding a few new faces to the squad."

We had a great day on Saturday at our Season 2025/26 Awards Presentation followed by a Live Sheep Race Night.

Our awards presentation took place at Dundonald Bowling Club, with this year’s winners being:

⚽️ Top Goal Scorer - Jamie McClung
🏆 Players Player of the Year - Jamie McClung
🥇 Managers Player of the Year - Jamie McClung

🏆 Committees Players of the Year:
Finlay Kerr
Ryan Kirkland

🏆 Clubman of the Year - Jamie Kaminski

Finlay Kerr & Jamie McClung also received special recognition trophies for being the first Troon Dundonald players to be selected for the Scottish AFA National Select Squad.

Many thanks to Dundonald BC for hosting.

We then moved venue for the evenings entertainment of Live Sheep Racing where the club also raised funds for next season 🐑

Many thanks to Cammy Love & his family for organising a great night for us at the farm.

A few weeks rest for the lads now before pre-season training begins next month.

Glenburn MW 7-0 Troon Dundonald

Our final game of the season on Monday evening ended in another tough result away to Glenburn MW. With the squad down to the bare bones, including several trialists and players carrying knocks, it was always going to be a difficult task.

Glenburn started strongly and raced into an early two-goal lead, but as the first half went on we began to settle into the game and managed to keep the scoreline down going into the break.

Glenburn didn’t hang about in the second half and took a further 5 goals off us, however this could’ve been far more if it wasn’t for some great saves from Kev Ingram (The Golf Inn).

All the best to Glenburn MW in their remaining games.

While it wasn’t the ending we wanted, there are still plenty of positives to take from the campaign. The team improved as the season progressed, securing Premier League safety and reaching two semi-finals.

We now look ahead to our end of season awards day, followed by our Live Sheep Race Night this Saturday 23rd May.

Troon Dundonald 0-3 Whitletts Victoria AFC

We faced defeat at Marr Playing Fields with Whitletts Vics walking away with a well deserved 3 points.

Much of the first half was goalless, but Whitletts took the lead 5 minutes before the break from a well-delivered corner.

HT Troon Dundonald 0-1 Whitletts Vics

The second half was similar, and we were unable to get on the scoresheet. Whitletts held their lead for most of the half before adding 2 goals in quick succession with around 10 minutes to go.

A well deserved victory for Whitletts - all the best to them.

That was our final home game of the season, but we still have one match remaining away to Glenburn on 18th May.
