There are so many classes and gyms named “Pilates”’ - how can you tell the difference?

Firstly, visit the studio and chat with the teachers. Look at what apparatus is there. 6 plus reformers/towers and no other equipment- it’s a reformer studio.
No large apparatus at all - could be based or something else. Training for “pilates” can be short, often online with no prior knowledge required.

A Pilates Teacher in a full Pilates studio is a specialist teacher (Comprehensive Pilates) who has trained for at least 12 months to get their “P”plates and continues education in Pilates throughout their career. Often they have been students of Pilates for years before becoming teachers. At Classical Pilates UK all our teachers are Comprehensive Pilates specialists with a minimum of 10 years Pilates experience. We train the Comprehensive teachers of the future
