Hiding behind a baggy t-shirt has been replaced with body confidence and a huge smile 😁!

Megan's goal was to lose some weight and get fitter.

She wasn't too sure how much she wanted to lose exactly, or what her version of "fitter" meant,
but that didn't stop her getting started, and we agreed to figure it out along the way.

So far she has lost over 2 stones and her strength and fitness is through the roof!

The last step of the process for me was to transition her from our fully private 1:1 PT sessions, into a commercial gym environment where she can continue her lifelong fitness journey.

Although it was a scary process for Megan, I felt I was releasing a big fish into a little pond 🦈

She's going to eat them alive!

and as for knowing what her version of "fitter" means...

I think we found it? 😎

Megan did the work and she owns these results 💪

Before you get back to working on your own fitness journey, take a moment to celebrate other successes below would ya! 👇

In health and fitness there is no standing still.

Gaining weight, Low energy, lack of motivation, getting out of breath easily, not as strong as you used to be...

Sound familiar?

Time is compounding against you, and although it will eventually catch us all falling short, getting what you want out of your health and fitness in the meantime should always be within your top priorities.

The good news is that once you start being consistent with your efforts and follow a well-structured plan, the power of compound interest works in your favour.

The small daily habits that I teach my clients so they can drop that first pound of weight compounds to losing the first stone, and so on...

I also build in lots of milestone achievements to keep you moving in the right direction.
Something simple like moving from push-ups on your knees to doing full push-ups on your toes is a huge milestone that drives motivation and keeps you progressing towards your ultimate goals.

If you’re struggling to get yourself moving in the right direction, don’t delay any longer

Social Support (don't count on it)

One thing that comes up a lot in conversation with clients is lack of social support

During the begin of their journey into health & fitness, they are surprised by the reaction of their partners, family or friends. Mostly it's positive and supportive for lots of clients, but it can be the complete opposite for others.

Unfortunately, on more than one occasion, a client has opened up about the lack of support from the people closest to them.

This is usually because watching someone close achieving things and doing well makes them think about their own situation.

Your determination and success makes them uncomfortable.

So, how do you get them behind you supporting your goals all the way?

1. Speak to them directly

“If you avoid conflict to keep the peace, you start a war inside yourself” – Cheryl Richardson

Explain why you are doing it, tell them how hard but rewarding you are finding it and tell them how their support could help you achieve your goals. Why wouldn’t they want that?

2. Show them change!
When you begin your journey, everyone is sceptical, most of all, the people closest to you. But if you take it upon yourself to show them that you're serious by investing time, effort and money into your goals, before you know it, they will be right behind you every step of the way.

Find laser focus on your goals, and smash them, show them you are now a person who,

• Seeks out help when you need it
• Works hard and gets the results they deserve
• Is growing in confidence by taking action
• Who inspires others to improve themselves

Remember, everyone reacts differently to success, so try and surround yourself with those who will lift you and help you achieve your goals.

Having a trainer fully invested in you and your journey, guiding you every step of the way, might just be all the support you need to succeed.

If you feel you are putting in the work and not getting the results you want right now, send me a message.

Have you got a plan in place to get fit and healthy?

When getting into shape, you need to have a plan, be focused and willing to put in the work.

listening to too many different people, and getting distracted will only slow down your progress.

After setting up my client plans, I ask for trust

- Trust in the plan I have set you
- Trust in the process I have used with hundreds of other clients just like you
- Trust that it will work for you and get you the results you want

Put your trust in me as your trainer, trust the tried and tested principles that have yielded impressive results over the years

After all, it’s likely the success of one of my past clients prompted you to think about starting this journey with me, and it will be your success that inspires and gets me my next client!

If you know you need to change but don't know where to start, and you feel ready to put in the work, pop a comment below or send me a DM.

Let's have a chat and see if I can help you

Jennifer's first press ups 💪

Amazing results all round tonight but this one comes top

Jennifer's consistency and effort every workout has been paying off week on week

She's well on track to achieving her weight loss goals (1.5stone so far, calm down) and tonight is another step towards building more upper body strength and gym confidence

Well done Jennifer 🥊

Regular physical activity should be non-negotiable.

(Running about a field in the wet with a heavy dumbbell and weighted vest on ... Optional!)

Regular exercise relieves stress, improves your mood and reduces tiredness.

You'll have better endurance, more strength, a healthy weight and reduce your risk of dying.

It's actually crazy to think that something you can do so free and easily needs such promotion!

What you should consider doing;
- 2 strengthening workouts per week minimum

- keep an average daily exercise count (30min moderate activity/ 10k steps/ etc...)

- find ways to move more/ not sit down throughout the day (walk instead of drive, park further away, set reminders on phone,...)

It doesn't need to be more complex or demanding than that. Leave yourself some room to add if needed/ desired and set a base you can dial down to if required.

I'm sure you've taken care of where you will earn your money from this week, have you planned where you will earn your health from so you can enjoy it?

Being "on it" and "all in" isn't the problem

The problem is that you fall off to nothing when motivation fades, you burn out, get injured, etc...

The solution?

Learn your "cruising" speed.

This way you always make slow steady progress.

- a couple of planned workouts per week
- be a bit more active daily than you are now
- prioritise what sleep you can
- drink some water
- base more meals around protein and veg
- complete at least 1 task that you keep putting off

Sound doable?

You'd be surprised with how little you can get away with and be in great shape.

Speed up when you have that extra motivation and the road ahead is clear but, learn to read the road

Fall back rather than fall off.

Sure, accidents will still happen and you may fail to read the road and fall off from time to time, you're body may still break down and life will throw in some roadworks...
.. but for the majority of the time you'll be fine and well on your way to a life-changing journey

Consistency always wins 🥊
