Meet our Alice: the heart of Wonderland and a true triple threat.

From the very first rehearsal, Mabel brought nothing short of wonder to Alice in Wonderland. Her dedication was clear from day one - arriving prepared, eager to learn, and always with a smile. A joy to teach, a pleasure to direct, and a performer you can truly rely on.

She danced with grace, sang a solo with confidence beyond her years, and carried the story with clarity, charm and an irresistible stage presence.

Beyond the stage, she’s kind, thoughtful, and a real team player - exactly the kind of person you want at the heart of a show. We’re incredibly proud of what she’s achieved, and we can’t wait to see how bright her future is.

⏱️ The White Rabbit - Fred

Fred brought the White Rabbit to life with sharp timing, charm, and so much personality. His acting was spot on, and he moved effortlessly between dance and vocals. A standout performance in every way!

Fun fact: these rabbit trousers have been down the rabbit hole before! 🐇 They were first worn in our 1991 production of Alice in Wonderland, also held at the Berkhamsted Centenary Theatre. Some costumes really do stand the test of time. 🕰️

We’re so excited to launch our brand new ballet uniform, featuring stunning new leotard colours for each grade with our official JMSD logo! 🩰💫

Each leotard has been designed by Freed of London and is part of the brand new 2025 RAD approved collection, ensuring the highest quality and perfect fit for our dancers. From lilac for our little ones to elegant burgundy for our senior students, this fresh look is designed to help you feel confident and stylish in class. Don’t forget to check out our matching skirts, cardigans, and more!

The uniform shop link is now on our website, and existing students and parents can ask us for the password if needed.
