Tring Tornadoes Year 8 had a lovely game of netball in the sun against newly formed Phoenix Blast this morning.

With only 14 players available between the 2 teams - I want to thank the TT girls (Lottie, Olivia, Lauren, Emily and Isla) who switched between the teams helping the opposition in a variety of positions.

The TT girls got off to a strong start and had some beautiful set plays down the court and around the shooting circle and by half time they were leading 21-3.

At half time we switched to versatility which allowed all the girls to play out of their usual positions and showed us all what a versatile team they are! They all worked so hard and with it being warm and there being no subs, they all dug in as a team and kept up momentum and team spirit until the end. Final score was a 28-7 win. OPOM went to Lauren. Well done to all 🏐πŸŒͺ️🏐🩷

A well deserved win against Wingrave for the Jets this morning. Final score was 21-5 with the girls playing in versatility for the last two quarters. Lots of intercepting and turning play around, lovely shooting and really thinking about movement around the court. A well-deserved OPM to Heidi who not only gave it her all today but also stepped up without hesitating to play with Wingrave when they lost a player to injury. All the girls get CPM for playing out of their comfort zones for half the match and just going for it! Well gone girls! πŸ’–πŸ’•πŸ’–

Great netball from the y7 team at Ashlyns this morning. We were playing a new Phoenix team and soon established a strong lead with some well-drilled play from all 7 of our girls. Leading by 12 goals at half time, we switched to versatility which gave our girls the chance to try out some new positions. OPOM to Scarlett who showed her versatility with lots of goals in the first half and then a great half in defence. CPOM to Dana who showed really determined play throughout. Special mention to Martha and Lily who managed to keep the goals coming despite not wanting to play as shooters to start with! Final score 24-2 to Tring.

Incredible work from the y7 team at Knox Johnson today with a very convincing 24-4 win! There was such incredible play from the whole team up and down the court with everyone staying in one position due to how well it was working! OPOM went to Lucia for some incredible shooting and great movement while also going the extra step to get some amazing interceptions. I honestly couldn’t choose a coaches player if I tried so that has to go to the whole team! Everyone had such vision for each other taking on all coaching advice and getting great space across the court! All the girls had such drive for the ball with everyone going for all interceptions and driving forward for each other. So proud of the whole team and thanks to all parents for coming to cheer them on πŸ’žπŸ’žπŸ’ž

Huge congratulations to our fabulous year 6, Cami, who was awarded Coaches Player of the season at North Bucks County Netball. We are hugely proud of you Cami πŸ©·πŸ–€πŸ©·
Cami had a broken shoulder at the start of the season and was back on court in the blink of an eye and like she never missed a beat. She’s a legend and the TT coaches echo everything the county coaches said too πŸ©·πŸ–€πŸ©·

Year 7 had their first match at 3CNL this morning - playing Wingrave - and it was such an exciting one! Tring started incredibly well, with some fast, strong and accurate passing creating plenty of goal scoring opportunities. Throughout the first half both Eloise and Hattie worked tirelessly to feed the ball to Ivy and Alice, who made a fantastic shooting pair. Freya, Megan and Scarlett in defence managed to turnover a few balls, and by the end of the first half we were ahead.

Wingrave came into the third quarter absolutely flying, and we made a few changes which disrupted our flow a bit, meaning that Wingrave were ahead by a few goals going into the final quarter.

Determined, positive play from our girls brought it back to a draw a couple of times during the final quarter, but we couldn’t quite manage to pull away again. Final score 21-22 to Wingrave. Disappointing to lose by 1 goal, but so much to be proud of about their play during a closely fought, fast-paced match.

Well deserved OPOM to *Freya* who made such an impact in defence, and two CPOMs for *Alice* and *Ivy* who both had generally brilliant games!

Well done to the whole team πŸ‘

Our Tring Tornadoes Year 6 Fusion squad had a fantastic evening at the Three Counties Netball League (3CNL) awards.

TT Fusion finished top with 80 points, going unbeaten with 16 wins from 16. TT Jets secured an impressive third place with 63 points.

Jets excelled in attack with 289 goals (second highest in the league), while Fusion led the way with 396. Defensively, Jets conceded just 150 goals (third lowest), and Fusion topped the table again with only 98 conceded β€” an outstanding record.

A brilliant team effort β€” we are so proud of our Year 6 girls. Every player has contributed to this success πŸ©·πŸ–€πŸ©·
