Chester Regatta 2026 🚣‍♀️🏆
The weather was on our side today, with far less rain than expected, making for a fantastic day of racing at Chester Regatta.

After a difficult first race in the four, our WJ15 girls bounced back with a brilliant performance in their quad, narrowly missing out by just a bow ball. The J16 boys’ double also raced incredibly well, losing by only inches. There were some very close races throughout the day.

With almost the entire squad racing, it was amazing to see such strong club representation across all age groups. A particular highlight was seeing two J14 boys quads progress to the final and go head-to-head for the win.

Going into the day, we certainly didn’t expect to retain the Junior Victor Ludorum trophy after winning it last year, so we’re incredibly proud to have done it again.

We’re off to Chester Regatta this morning! 🌧️🚣

We might be a little late posting this one, but here’s a look back at our fantastic weekend at the 79th National Schools’ Regatta! 🚣☀️

The 79th National Schools’ Regatta saw over 5,400 young rowers racing on the famous Olympic course at Dorney Lake.

In scorching conditions, we took four crews to one of the toughest junior events of the year.

Friday
Our J14 Coxed Quad and WJ15 Coxed Four took to the water.
The J14 boys faced 54 other crews from across the UK and Channel Islands. After just making the A Final, they went on to win a fantastic silver medal, missing gold by only 0.81 seconds after leading for much of the race.

The WJ15 Coxed Four narrowly missed the A Final, finishing 11th in the time trial after a stressful morning. They responded brilliantly, winning the B Final after rowing through the crews from sixth place and recording a time that would have placed them strongly in the A Final.

Sunday
Our final two crews raced on another scorching day.
For the first time in club history, we fielded two boats in the J18 Double Sculls event, competing against 45 other crews. Our A crew reached the A Final, while our B crew qualified for the D Final, with both crews finishing strongly in their respective finals.

We were incredibly proud of all four crews and the determination, resilience and performances they showed throughout the weekend.

A huge well done to all the athletes, and thank you to the parents for their continued support. 👏🚣‍♀️🚣‍♂️

🚣🏻‍♂️National Junior Sculling Regatta 🚣‍♂️

An early start for everyone, with racing held at Dorney Lake. The day began with a 1900m time trial, followed by side-by-side finals over the full 2km course.

The wind picked up for the finals, but that didn’t stop us from seeing some fantastic racing across the board.

A huge well done to everyone who took part 👏
Results:
* J15 2x – 🥇 A Final
* WJ17 2x – 4th, A Final
* J14 4x+ – 6th, A Final
* J18 2x – 6th, A Final
* J16 1x – 2nd, B Final
* WJ15 4x+ – 4th, B Final
* J16 2x – 14th in time trial

Plenty to take away from today. Now it’s about learning from these performances and building towards National Schools and the last 10 weeks of our racing season💪
