Our association is putting on the Dragon Cup🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 something to work towards in the new year 👀

🚨 𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒 🚨
We’re excited to announce the 𝐃𝐑𝐀𝐆𝐎𝐍 𝐂𝐔𝐏, a brand new Open Karate tournament coming to Wales, in the former steel producing Valleys town of Ebbw Vale.

This event comprises a 𝗞𝗨𝗠𝗜𝗧𝗘 𝗢𝗻𝗹𝘆 format, run under 𝗪𝗞𝗙 𝗥𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘀, and is open to WKF competitors from children to veterans, across Wales and beyond.

🗓️ Expected to be one of the first domestic competitions of the year, making it an ideal way to start the competition season.

WELCOME to our club’s new instructor, JENNIE EVANS

Jennie holds the grade of 2nd Dan. She is an experienced instructor, having run her own class for 4–5-year olds and being part of Ashley’s instructor team at the Merthyr Club. Jennie is a former Wales international and was Welsh Champion at every age group from under 10 to under 18 and is now on the association’s coaching team.

Outside of karate, she works in the NHS as a speech and language therapist. Jennie is looking forward to working long term with our existing members and would be delighted to welcome previous members back.

We would like to thank the outgoing instructor, Cole, as he now moves into full time employment. We wish him every success.
