Weekend Highlights at JKS Valleys Karate Academy

This past weekend, we had the incredible privilege of training with Jesper Markvardsen Sensei from Denmark 🇩🇰. His inspiring and enjoyable delivery of Karate knowledge truly enriched our experience, leaving everyone motivated and eager to learn more!

We also want to extend a huge congratulations to our very own Amelia Bowden for receiving her Sho Dan certificate from Japan! What an outstanding achievement - well done 👏🏻🥋

Building on the weekend’s training, tonight's class our students started learning Kakuyoku Shodan 🥋. It was a fantastic session filled with dedication and enthusiasm!

Good evening, JKS Valley family!

Today was a remarkable day for our academy, showcasing the incredible dedication and talent of our students. We witnessed outstanding performances in the competition, and we couldn't be prouder!

A special shoutout to Cerys Griffiths, who not only competed fiercely but also emerged as a National Champion 🏆 Your hard work, discipline, and determination have truly paid off, and you inspire us all!

To all our competitors today— Amelia, George, and Harri - your efforts were commendable, and you represented JKS Valley Academy with pride. Each of you demonstrated the spirit of karate, showing the importance of perseverance and teamwork.

Let’s keep the momentum going and continue to support each other on and off the mat. Congratulations again to our champion and all our competitors today!

Exciting Evening at JKS Valleys Karate Academy!

We had a fantastic night filled with achievements and special guests! A heartfelt thank you to our visiting instructor, Matthew Stockham from JKS Wales, for leading tonight's grading session. It was an honor to have Derek Stockham Sensei, my instructor, join us as well. Welcoming esteemed JKS instructors to our club is always a privilege.

To our incredible students, I couldn't be prouder of your hard work and dedication! It was inspiring to see you showcase your skills and earn your new belts this evening. A huge well done from me!👊🏻

We’re thrilled to share that our young Tigers class had their first grading this evening!

What an Incredible Day at the JKS Wales Kyu Grade Championships!

Today, we had the honor of participating in the JKS Wales Kyu grade championships held in Merthyr Tydfil. I am truly proud of our amazing students! For many, this was their first experience in a Karate competition, while others continued to build their circuit experience.

As their sensei, I was genuinely touched by the effort, support, and professionalism displayed by everyone, including the unwavering encouragement from our parents. Together, we upheld the spirit of Karate beautifully.

Amazing Week of Training at JKS Valley Karate Academy

This week has been filled with energy and growth as we focused on enhancing our skills!

🥋 Monday - kicked off with an intense session dedicated to katas. It was incredible to see everyone pushing their limits

🥋 Wednesday - brought the excitement of kumite drills and sparring. We even added some cardio to keep the spirit high and the heart pumping.
