Join Cerys Griffiths in the Fight Against MND!

Hey everyone! I’d like to introduce you to Cerys Griffiths, a remarkable 16-year-old who is taking on an incredible challenge this August. In honor of her brother Jordan, who was diagnosed with motor neurone disease (MND) last year, Cerys is running 60 miles to raise money and awareness for the MND Association.

Every day, six people are diagnosed with this devastating condition, and every mile Cerys runs brings us closer to a future without MND.

JKS Valleys Karate Academy Update

What a fantastic week we’ve had in training as we gear up for our grading next week under the expert guidance of Sensei Matt Stockham. Everyone has been putting in their best effort, and it’s truly inspiring to see our students’ dedication and progress.

Exciting Training Update from JKS Valleys Karate Academy

Today, we had the incredible privilege of training with Sensei Matt Price, who has just returned from Tokyo after learning from the esteemed Hombu JKS instructors. His in-depth knowledge of karate is truly inspiring!

We’re thrilled and excited to take this experience back to our students, helping them grow in practice. A huge thank you to JKS Wales for hosting us, and it was wonderful to reconnect with our karate family—both new faces and familiar ones.

Weekend Highlights at JKS Valleys Karate Academy

This past weekend, we had the incredible privilege of training with Jesper Markvardsen Sensei from Denmark 🇩🇰. His inspiring and enjoyable delivery of Karate knowledge truly enriched our experience, leaving everyone motivated and eager to learn more!

We also want to extend a huge congratulations to our very own Amelia Bowden for receiving her Sho Dan certificate from Japan! What an outstanding achievement - well done 👏🏻🥋

Building on the weekend’s training, tonight's class our students started learning Kakuyoku Shodan 🥋. It was a fantastic session filled with dedication and enthusiasm!
