Ynscynon vets welcomed Pontyclun vets to ynyscynon park for their 2nd game of the season. Game was even first 10 mins with both teams creating chances but it was Pontyclun who t**e the lead in the 11th min when a misplaced pass in midfield was sprung upon and pontyclun took advantage with a well placed shot into the bottom corner to go 1-0. Ynyscynon come back into the game on the 20th min when M.Prior cut in off the wing with a great run to be brought down in the box for a penalty. Up stepped P.Evans to slot it home to make it 1-1. In the 30th min Ynyscnon took the lead when a through ball by G.Evans to P.Evans who broke through the defence and slotted the ball across the box for C.Mathias to slot the ball home for 2-1. Just before half time Ynyscynon extended their lead when C.Mathias closed the goalkeepers kick down and squaring the ball to P.Evans for his 2nd of the game and to put the Ynyscynon 3-1 at half time. Just after the break Pontyclun nearly got one back if it was not for C.Shortman’s goal line clearance. Both teams created chances throughout the second half with Ynyscynon keeper I.Sweeny pulling off some fantastic saves. Ynyscynon held on to win the game and to get their second win of the season.
