Round 11 of Superone today…. Tested every one of mums nerves!

Qualifying - 1st
Heat 1 - 1st time flipping it (obviously unintended 🤣) - lucky my helmet and suit did the job… tad bruised and achy. Thanks to for letting me borrow your spare. Thanks also to Rook and Alex’s dads for the new steering wheel/axle and helping to fit.
Heat 2 - they say after an accident the best things to get back in the seat/saddle - 1st

Rounds 5 & 6 Super One Series at ClayPigeon . Journey down saw us swap the planned beauty of Weymouth beach for the not so pretty M6 lay-by with a tyre blow out 🤦‍♀️… Friday practice was good, after 3 of 6 sessions the engine seized up (agh!). Unfortunately it was a smaller grid than normal with some racing in Europe. Round 5 finished the final 3rd. Thunderstorm overnight meant rainy round 6. Having never driven this track in the wet it was a bit if a learning curve. Some went for new wet tyres, I didn’t (top mechanic dad..!). Good result finishing 2nd. All in all good points gained, continued being on the podium at every round 👍

Really happy with my first weekend at Super one..
Round 1 Saturday - finished the day with a 3rd 🥉
Round 2 Sunday - had a great day racing and really enjoyed the final! Finished with a 2nd 🥈

Looking forward to rounds 3 & 4 at the end of April at my favourite track GYG Kart Track

Had an amazing night at the end of season awards.. collecting my DRS62 2021 Championship award.. To top it off I also completely unexpectedly received the 2021 Driver of the year award (across all age categories)…

It’s a wrap! 2021 season is over, has a new DRS62 champion! Finished off with a couple of celebrations like (he preferred lucozade to Prosecco! Is he even my child?? )
He’s had a tough year, we almost didn’t make the flight home as air crew were close to running out of hours, but these 2 drove straight to track arriving at 5:30, no practice and just a lot of hope. We got a bit of luck thrown in for good measure (about time)… but I can’t tell you how proud he makes me! Enjoy your moment sunshine, you absolutely deserve it. Well done to for making it such a close final race of the season, and to for your 3rd place and Oscar on your top novice! Roll on 2022

Round 5 of , just 1 round left… after round 4 ended with 2 x 4 place penalties, we improved finishing round 5 with just 1 x 4 place penalty 🤦‍♀️
Saturday was a monsoon… soaked to the core! Sunday race day was sunny & a completely different set up.
Qualified - P1
Heat 1 - P2
Pre final - P2
Final - P2 until entering the last lap, went to sneak up the inside for P1, unintentionally clipped the back of my mate Oscar causing him to spin and lose 2 places, went on to cross the line 1st but received another 4 place penalty. To still be leading the championship with 1 round to go having had 12 place penalties in 2 rounds is pretty good…

If congealed milk did race weekends then this would be it … started out good with qualifying 2nd…
Heat 1 was a drying track and tyres were too grippy so although finished 4th we were well off pace - still ok though..
Heat 2 - leading for most of it, finished 2nd but had a 4 place penalty for exceeding track limits…. Not to worry we learn from our mistakes hey?
Nope! Final…. Another 4 place penalty for EXACTLY the same issue…. Swapping the normal celebratory McDonald’s for a piece of dry toast n water 🤣🤣🤣 well done to Harry, Oscar and Jack
