What a ride we've had this year. Plagued with issues all season, finally thought everything was sorted only to lose 3rd and 4th gears at the last round at Curborough Sprint Course . The progress has been fantastic none the less, due in large to the awesome work by MacG Racing who have been our go to workshop this year.
We end the year still smiling, still determined and much faster than we started.
Big thanks to all who have supported us this year, supplied parts or service and of course insults served piping hot from Sprinter’s Rest at Curborough Sprint Course .
Here's to an off season of building fixing and improving red. Hoping to get a couple of track days in too to see how far we've come in 2 years since we last tried Donnington.

After what seems like 3 eternities, Red is back and reborn. With great thanks to MacG Racing Red V2.0 is ready for action. We cannot praise MacG enough for the quality of work they have done, the expert advice given and the attention to detail.

Red V2.0 now features a lighter, single mass flywheel, ATB Diff and competition clutch. All topped off with motorsport grade quality Millers Oils gear oil. MacG also assisted with finally banishing the Limp Mode Ghosts that have haunted us for months. Red is finally the best version of Red it can be (for now).

We really cannot wait to get back on track a week on Sunday at Curborough Sprint Course for the final round of the sprint championship to see how we stack up against the clock!

Crowd‑solve request — Ford diesel wiring gremlin

RED (Focus Mk3 TDCi) has a repeatable failure:

• Static regen aborts at ~1900 rpm
• Dash lights up like a Christmas tree
• Freeze‑frame rpm = 0.1
• 5V ref A collapses
• DPF soot load spikes
• P0606A

PCM replaced → no change
Sensors replaced → no change
Grounds disturbed → no change
Fault predates gearbox removal → not flywheel

Has anyone seen this exact pattern before?

Looking specifically for:
• CKP wiring failures
• shielding faults
• PCM pin oxidation
• loom rub‑throughs
• regen‑abort case studies

Any diesel techs or Ford wiring nerds — your experience would be gold.

We've been a bit quiet of late but there are reasons. The entire JaM fleet have been divas just lately. Red is still away at MacG Racing for some exciting upgrades but also for trying to nail the coffin shut on the dreaded limp mode saga. Le Slog the C1 has thrown engine lights like it's Christmas and had a new cat and sensor. Herman the Sherman has also been very German of late and is currently on close observations! Give us a 2.0l ford pinto any day after all of this modern drama!

Electrical gremlins prevented Red from taking to the track at Curborough Sprint Course yesterday but we did manage to get along to support for a while and take some pictures. We also had our obligatory coffee and food from the Sprinter’s Rest at Curborough Sprint Course .
