Brilliant weekend’s racing at Silverstone, couldn’t keep the boy off the podium in either race. He’s really got his eye in now and with further upgrades to the car due, we’ll be bringing the heat to Snetterton next month.
Top prep by DB Motorsport & RPN Racing, top tyres by Yokohama & Midland Tyre Shaving.
Congrats to Dan Garrett for both wins and to Isaac Spiers & Geoff Peek who completed the podiums. Further well done to all drivers who competed up and down the grid.

With no proper seat time in the car, we were always going to be up against it at Croft. But a failed a crank seal on Friday meant no practice so it was straight into qually still with various issues. Gradually got the car bedded in over the weekend and fun was had gaining places from our lowly starting position in the races. Rustiness shaken off our driver is starting to look in the mood.🏁🏎️

Lee Emm gained the most positions during the Yokohama UK Locost Championship opening weekend after finishing 11 spots higher than his starting position in race one and an improvement of 15 places in race three.

The 2018 Sport Specials champion from Dorset returned to Locost racing after seven years away at Croft in the ex-Todd Boucher car. He scored a best result of sixth in the third race of the weekend.

Busy day for Emerald Cat Racing on Saturday at the Bristol Pegasus Motor Club track day at Castle Combe Circuit. New driver William Jennings racing in his first drive of his 750MC - Locost Championship car acquitted himself very well especially given it was his first ever track day after 3 seasons of Mod160 Prokarts . Advice and guidance provided by fellow Mods and Locost graduate Lee Emm. Meanwhile the old boys Ian and Steve set about working on setup on their Aim Technologies 750MC - Ma7da Championship machine prior to Brands Hatch on Saturday 26th for the 6th round of the championship. Lee also had a quick blast to check they were going in the right direction and all of us came away happy and looking forward to Ian racing the car with Team Sellars Racing this weekend. Big thanks as always to Keith, Garry, Phil and Rich for the hard work in the pits as well as Donna and Riley. Also thanks to Tony Smith for these excellent pictures.

Sat30/07/22
The scorched and barren desert that was Castlecombe, provided the perfect venue for a much needed sheikh down for the Maz7da. With the car quickly dialled in and the track providing more grip than Grosie’s grasp on a twenty pound note, when urged to get a round in, we knew we were in for a good session.
Both Ian & Steve Grose were soon in the groove and the lap times tumbled accordingly. With Lee throwing in a few fun laps too, it was very satisfyingly to watch and l don’t think anything came past us all day. The boys should be rightly proud of themselves, along with huge thanks to stalwarts and great friends Keith Lessiter, Jinder, Richard Jennings and Will for lending their support & help, whilst en-route to Shennington Sunday.
A valuable learning day, thoroughly enjoyable and the company sublime. Great to be back on it 💪💪🏁.
