First team outing of the year was to Silverstone this weekend. The warm sunny weather from Saturday disappeared on Sunday morning, and by the time qualifying started the track was wet. Scott managed to get pole position for both races. He managed to find space and despite some adventurous moments in the first few laps he managed to put in 2 laps good enough as the track dried.

Race 1 saw him fight off Pete Morgan for the lead before dropping behind Lee Scott on lap 4. Getting a good run on Lee on to the wellington straight saw scott move up the inside before contact pushed them both wide. Allowing Morgan through. Scott then battled with Chris Dear before passing Morgan and eventually finishing second.

Race 2 was much tighter. Dropping back to third scott again passed Morgan and followed Lee Scott home for another second place.

The Covid break is finally over as we get to take Ben Leach’s new SEAT out in the MSVT Super cup at Silverstone Grand Prix circuit. Ben & Marcus are sharing the car during the 45 Minute race. They ended up second overall on the grid and the race kicks off just after 5PM.

Ben Leach has been super busy during this lockdown period. Not only have Pro Racing Simulators been supplying the frustrated petrol heads and racers with sims but along with Track Obsession they have created a superb racing series. Culminating in a final this Saturday with some pretty impressive names. It will be well worth a look.

Along with every other man and his dog with a 3D printer. 4Ward Motorsport have also put the 3D printers to use creating the visors for any NHS / Care home staff.

The motorsport season is pretty much on stop due to the effects of Covid-19. As much as this is frustrating to all of the the drivers and everyone involved. It is the right course of action. Even though as a team we were going to be running a reduced season due to car sales, changes in circumstances etc. We had all still been looking forward to getting out there when we could. Us like every other racer out there, all get support. Be it big brand sponsors or friends companies.

So now let’s get all racers to give a bit back. As all of the local companies who help us really need help.

So. In no particular order...

Rangers Garage - long term sponsor of ours who are still going about their day to day business. Some changes to how they operate regarding contact with staff but still open and willing to help you as much as they have helped us.

Pro Racing Simulators - yes I know he is one of our drivers. But he does build a good sim. So if anyone out there is looking for a good sim set up whilst the racing season is on hold. Give them a shout.

Blue Bee Solutions - still open and willing to help out with all of your website / marketing. Especially when all of this picks up. So give Mark a shout.

Stonehenge Ales Ltd - the local brewery to us is still open. They are doing door sales currently. So don’t panic but your b**r at the super market. Look them up.

Skuzzle Motorsport - are currently closed but once this all is sorted they will be around to assist with rolling road work.

County Tile Warehouse Ltd - are still open and are doing kerb side deliveries.

DY Engine Services - are also still open so give them a call if you need stuff doing or didn’t get what you wanted done over the winter break.

Powerflex - are still business as normal.

EBC Brakes Direct UK are still business as normal.

Club Racing UK
