HSCC Guards Trophy is back after lockdown.
Hopefully everyone has used the time to do any work needed on their cars to ensure that they are super reliable for the ever exciting Brands GP circuit.
There is testing on Friday with qualification and the race on Saturday.
Please see the HSCC website for details or even for entries if for some remarkable reason you have not entered yet!
As of Sunday evening there were 28 entries for Guards and 328 for all the series racing at Brands and so the event overall.
Your Series Co- Chairmen will both be racing and in the paddock all day Friday and Saturday.
Hopefully our cars will be running smoothly with no issues to deal with, and on that basis we hope to be able to set up some socially distanced food and beverages around our transporters as a focal point for Guards drivers and friends on Saturday.

I was asked by our 2019 Champion, Ross Hyatt to post this message for him on the Guards page as he was unable to make it to the Awards Evening in person:

I do apologise for not being able to join you all at the HSCC Awards. I have had a shoulder reconstruction operation and was at home in bed, half asleep with the aid of morphine, otherwise I would have been with you.
Fox Motorsport, Trevor Foster and I worked hard to win the Guards Trophy, and we had our fair share of luck ( well it is a Lotus Elan!), but I would particularly like to thank all the other competitors and all of the staff at the HSCC who made me so welcome.
I would also like to congratulate all the other Guards award winners, but particularly Mike Gardiner, who ran me very closely through the points right up to the last laps of the last round, and if there had been more cars in his class throughout the season would probably have won the Guards outright

Congratulations to Ross Hyett our 2019 Guards Trophy Champion - pictured here with Trevor Foster who found and built the 26R that Ross won the Championship in. Clearly a very good car as it finished every race and was only ever beaten in a race by Dan Eagling in the lighter and more powerful super rapid Ginetta G4R.
