There was once a young woman, a journalism student in Poland. While working on a political campaign for a prominent politician, as her work experience, she met his wife, a university doctor. That meeting changed her life. The doctor became her mentor, her supporter, and her friend. She guided her, inspired her, and opened doors to new opportunities.
In time, the young woman began working with her. They spent hours in conversation — sharing stories, experiences, and reflections on life. Mutual respect and deep connection grew between them. The doctor helped build a young woman's confidence in herself and predicted that the young woman will go far in life.
A few years later, the young woman emigrated to the United Kingdom. Their contact continued through phone calls and emails, albeit infrequently, and at times, when she visited her family in Poland, she also visited her mentor.
It was then she learned that her dear friend —now a professor — was battling blood cancer. Though she fought bravely, the illness proved stronger.
This story is a reminder that we are bound together — through relationships, through spirit, through memory. Your donation will support vital work in the fight against blood cancer. It will serve women everywhere who are facing this battle with courage.
Your generosity is more than a gift. It is solidarity, gratitude, and love.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. My mentor would have been proud 💖
