Peter, what has been your biggest achievement?
"The biggest achievement for me has been the significant improvement in my overall fitness, training, and technique. My original background is in PE and coaching sports teams, and I’ve always been active and involved in a wide range of sports. However, I’m probably fitter now than I’ve ever been. A huge part of that is down to the excellent coaching and support I receive from Kirsty and Alan. They are professional, highly knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping members achieve their goals. Their guidance has made a real difference to my progress".
How do you maintain your motivation?
"I stay motivated because the benefits of regular exercise are impossible to ignore, particularly when it comes to high-intensity training. Not only have my cardiovascular fitness and strength improved significantly, but my mental wellbeing, resilience, and self-discipline have also developed tremendously".
What advice to those just starting out on their fitness journey?
"My advice would be to focus on consistency and adopt a “let’s get this done” mindset. Building a routine is far more important than chasing perfection, and training alongside other members in classes can be a great source of motivation and accountability".
He continued..."Getting through the gym door at 6:45am on a dark, wet morning is often the hardest part. But once you’ve overcome that challenge and completed a tough session, you feel a real sense of achievement—and the rest of the day often seems that much easier by comparison".
