Statement from TADPOOL, a charity run by local volunteers, providing a swimming pool and health suite for many years for the people of Totnes and district:-

"TADPOOL representatives continue,as they always have, to discuss a way forward for Totnes Leisure Centre. After recent discussions with SHDC representatives, TADPOOL and Fusion Leisure now feel more confident in achieving the ultimate goal of having Fusion Leisure take on operations at the leisure centre.

The leisure centre will remain open during the finalising of the legal issues that have been preventing progress. A timetable has been set to achieve the desired outcome and members of TADPOOL will continue to work hard to fulfill this ultimate goal.

We look forward to Fusion Leisure running the centre on behalf of TADPOOL who will take on an overseeing role at the centre, including working with Fusion Leisure on where and how best to invest.

Working together, our aim will be to provide a leisure centre that the people of Totnes and District want and deserve.
