Are your dog's paws truly canicross and trail run-ready? 🐾 Most people miss the easiest way to keep their dog safe and performing at their best!

WILD FACT: Your dog's wild cousins naturally keep their claws short on abrasive terrain... but our domesticated pups need a little help! Long claws can impact your dog's gait, stability, and running performance.

Swipe to learn the 2-Week Rule, why you should "Mind the Dot" when clipping black nails, and the simple things you can do to boost paw health (like using a quality balm - we love handmade balms and salves!).

Read our full guide with our local expert Sheri from Claws & Pink Paws Pet Services on WHY paw health is vital and HOW to master the clipper on our new blog post! Link in bio.

We do love a quiet trail on the Isle of Wight and have worked out a few hacks to find them - which you can read in our latest blog post here!

https://trottingdog.com/how-to-practice-trail-running-with-your-dog/

Our top hack is to 'Go Nowhere'. What this means is find a trail which doesn't really go anywhere, because this means people largely won't bother going on it! When we are out for a trot, we often do a there and back again, so it doesn't matter if the footpath doesn't end up at a viewpoint, cafe or any other destination.

Have you got a tip to share?
