⛳ A huge thank you to everyone involved in our Citizens Advice Charity Golf Day on Thursday 3rd September! 💙

We had such a fantastic day. The weather stayed fine, we celebrated an incredible hole-in-one from Jim Scott during the Beat the Pro challenge on the 18th, and — most importantly — we raised well over £5,000 for a wonderful cause! 🙌

Thank you so much to all our volunteers, the staff at Torquay Golf Club, everyone who bought raffle tickets, and all those who played in the competition.

For over 85 years, Citizens Advice Torbay has supported local people through some of life's toughest challenges, helping resolve more than 17,000 issues every year covering housing, debt, employment and family problems. The money raised from the day will help continue supporting this vital service. 💙

What a day… and what a night! 🤩

Club Captain Keith Thompson would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who helped make his Captain’s Day on Saturday 22nd August such a fantastic occasion.

From the brilliant atmosphere out on the course to the incredible support throughout the day and evening, it was a day to remember — and a huge part of that was down to you, our members. ❤️

💙 Funds raised for Feed a Child Torbay will be announced very soon! 💙

And the evening… what a night! 🕺💃

It was brilliant to see the clubhouse buzzing, the dancefloor packed, and so many of you embracing the 70s & 80s theme. There were plenty of laughs, fantastic outfits, and an unforgettable atmosphere.

Thank you to everyone who played, donated, volunteered, dressed up, danced and supported Captain’s Day. Your generosity and support made it a truly memorable day and showed once again why Torquay Golf Club is such a special place. 💙⛳️

What a fantastic day at Churston Golf Club!

The hot, tricky conditions made for a tough test yet again, but Torquay juniors were awesome!

* Picked up a valuable point in the scratch matchplay
* Finished 2nd on the day
* Player Spotlight: A special shoutout to Katie Loader, who put on an outstanding performance in her very first JSDL match, scoring an impressive 39 points!

We move on to the next and final fixture of 2026, which takes place right here on home turf at Torquay on 6th September.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and took part in our Seniors Men vs Seniors Ladies Match today Friday 14th August! 🏌️‍♀️🏌️‍♂️

Great weather, great company and, most importantly, great fun! ⛳☀️

Unfortunately, it wasn’t quite such a great result for the ladies! 😂 The men took the win 6–5, with the match going right down to the wire and the outcome decided on the last hole of the last team!

Well done to everyone who took part hope you all had a fantastic day. 👏

It was brilliant to see such a great crowd come along and enjoy the show, with many people even bringing along their original eclipse glasses from 1999! 😎

Yesterday saw our Ladies’ 36-Hole Club Championship Medal Competition, with 14 ladies taking part in some very hot and dry conditions! ☀️⛳

It was a fantastic day enjoyed by all, with everyone coming together afterwards for the prize giving and celebrations. 🥂👏

⛳️ JUNIOR OPEN 2026 RECAP ⛳️

What a day at Torquay Golf Club! The conditions were incredibly tough out there… dry, fast, bouncy, and hot ☀️🔥 but, just shy of 80 juniors stepped up to the challenge with plenty of great prizes up for grabs!

🏆 Junior Open Champion: A massive congratulations to Torquay Golf Club’s own Finlay Margetts! Finlay is on fire at the moment, bringing home 44 points to take the title on a count back against Rebecca Robb from Portmore Golf Club. Fantastic playing, Finlay! 👏
🥇 Scratch Trophy Winner: Huge congratulations to Mason Seaward, who fired a fantastic gross 70 (34 points) to win the esteemed Scratch Trophy by just 1 shot!

🙏 A huge well done to Junior Captain Sothea Kasparis who is driving the agenda of getting more girls playing golf in her captaincy year. There was a great turn out of girls this year, supported very much by the Devon Girls County team 🙏
