The second part of my 4 hour, mid summer jigging trip has just been published over on Youtube. 🐟

I'm fishing (slow / mixed pitch jigging) over a wreck in Lyme Bay on my small charter boat, Silver Halo Charters.

This is Part 2 and there's defo a tutorial kind of edge to it. I share a fair bit of info on how to use your jigging marker braid to find the fish and up the hit rate, often the braid is also your bite indicator so you need to tune into it.

I also talk a little bit about jig speeds and rhythms.

I snuck a half day in for myself today, no charter just me and the DJI cameras. It's been over a year since I last did any videos, so long overdue.
It went well and I've a heap of footage to edit later, but for now here's me, the awesome Orca jig and a 66cm bass.

Just a small selection of the fish from the last week or so on trips out of Torquay onboard Silver Halo.
With tides building recently the jigs continue to do really well with some real quality fish taken.
The lures also proving highly effective when the tidal current is at it's peak at around 2 to 2.4 knots.
The JOKER Orca and Cobra had a lot of use and provided great results, lure wise, it's been the trusty Apex Minnow.

A nice cod for me the other day, it was tempted by the excellent Slammer jig in the Silver Halo colour scheme.

A lovely bass for Ricky.
His first time jigging so I lent him one of my 'cheaper' set ups 😅.
The Handing Shadow Cruiser SPJ rod has genuine Fuji guides and reel seat, more importantly it has the perfect action for working the jigs and it was the 150g Cobra jig in Blue Head Lime that smashed it today, with several other nice bass like this one to the boat. Well done Ricky!
