Fightworx Academy is one of the Premier Martial Arts schools in the South West. Classes are taught by experienced instructors, who have been champions in their discipline. Fightworx has an open-door policy and prides itself on having something for everyone. Whether you are someone that is looking to lose weight, gain fitness or looking to compete in the future, you are all welcome at Fightworx. We

have dedicated, beginner only sessions in all areas. These are aimed at welcoming new starters to the academy. Here you will learn the basics alongside other novices, in a smaller class, gearing you up for the 'All Levels' classes. We have a very successful junior program, with classes from 5 years old +.

🥋 FREE Self Defence Workshop for NHS Workers

To say thank you to the NHS staff who look after all of us, we’re opening our doors for a free self defence workshop, no experience needed.

📅 Saturday 19th September, 10am
📍 Fightworx Newton Abbot, Unit 2 Foxglove Close, Hele Park, TQ12 1FQ

You’ll learn simple, practical breakaway techniques and how to get free from grabs and holds, useful skills for the workplace and everyday life. No martial arts background required, just come along in something comfortable and ready to have a go.

Fightworx Academy is a not-for-profit, founded in 2009 by BJJ Black Belt Darren Yeoman, and every penny we make goes straight back into our members and the South Devon community. This one’s on us, as a small thank you for everything NHS staff do.

🔥 INTRODUCING THE FORGE PROJECT 🔥

Community has always been a huge part of what we do at Fightworx.

For years, we’ve worked with local organisations and services, using martial arts to help young people build confidence, discipline, resilience and a sense of belonging.

Now, we’re taking that work a step further. 👊

The Forge Project is a dedicated FWX initiative working alongside schools, local authorities, youth services and other professional organisations to provide structured 1-to-1 and group programmes for young people who can benefit from them.

TRAIN. BUILD. BELONG. PROGRESS.

Martial arts is the vehicle. Building stronger futures is the goal.

This isn’t the beginning of our community work. It’s the next chapter.

We are excited announce the start of a brand new Martial Arts program for children aged 4 to 7 years old. Starting form the 12th September, Little Warriors will be a hybrid of striking and Grappling martial arts, mixed in with lots of fun and games.

We’re excited to launch a brand-new FWX programme created especially for children aged 4–7!

Little Warriors is a fun, energetic introduction to martial arts, combining striking, grappling and movement skills with games, challenges and plenty of fun.

⚡ Build confidence & coordination
🧠 Develop focus & discipline
🤝 Make friends & learn teamwork
🥋 Learn martial arts fundamentals
😄 Most importantly...have FUN!

There’ll also be a dedicated Little Warriors grading syllabus, giving the kids exciting goals and achievements to work towards.

No experience needed, this class is perfect for complete beginners.

We’ve got a small but important update to share with the FWX community.

From September 1st our membership prices for NEW members will be:

STARTER PLAN: £40/month
ATHLETE PLAN: £60/month
ELITE PLAN: £75/month

We’ve kept our prices the same for several years despite the continued growth of FWX and the rising costs of running the academy. This change allows us to keep investing in the gyms, our coaching, our programmes and the wider FWX community.
