Waldon Athletic FC are delighted to announce the signing of LLOYD TUCKER! ✍️

One we’ve been trying to get over the line for a while… and we’ve finally got our man! 😍

Tucks is a quality player who has consistently shown he has the ability to play at a much higher level. After coming close to joining us over the past few seasons, we’re delighted that he has now decided that Waldon is the place for him.

He’s bought into what we’re building, believes in the direction the club is heading and, most importantly, wants to be part of both the now and the future of Waldon Athletic. 💪

“We’ve been after Tucks for the past few seasons, but it’s never worked out. He’s a great player who should be playing a lot higher, but now he’s decided to join us as he can see what’s happening and wants to be a part of the now and future.”

Waldon Athletic FC are delighted to announce the signing of LIAM NORTHCOTT! ✍️

After attracting plenty of interest, we’re delighted that Liam has chosen Waldon as the place to continue his footballing journey. 💪

A player with plenty of ability, hunger and the desire to keep improving, Liam has already shown us exactly what he can bring to the squad.

🔴🔵 SEASON OPENER | WALDON 1ST 🔵🔴

PRE-SEASON DONE. NOW IT’S ONTO THE MAIN STAGE. 🔥

After weeks of hard work, new faces, tough tests and some surprisingly excellent form, the wait is finally over…

⚽ The league season starts NOW.

Waldon Firsts have shown plenty of promise throughout pre-season, with the squad looking stronger, fitter and in much better shape than this time last season.

But pre-season is just that — preparation.

Now the points matter. 💪🏼

Our first challenge sees us take on The Windmill FC in our opening league fixture.

⚽️💙 U10s — What a Performance! ❤️⚽️

What a fantastic performance from our U10s today against Stoke FC in a preseason friendly👏🔥

The team were absolutely brilliant from start to finish. We saw some fantastic passing, movement, teamwork and football played the right way — exactly what we’ve been working so hard on in training. 👌⚽️

Every player gave their all, showed great determination and most importantly, played for each other. It was a real joy to watch them grow in confidence and put everything they’ve been learning into practice. 🙌

The coaches and parents couldn’t be prouder of the team today. 💜💙 It’s performances like this that show just how much progress they are making, both individually and as a team especially when they are playing up a year!

A massive well done— keep working hard, keep believing and most importantly, keep enjoying your football! 👏⚽️

🔵🔴 FULL TIME | WALDON 0–4 PLYMOUTH TRUE BLUES RES 🔵🔴

Well, that caps off the First Team’s pre-season campaign! And tonight, Plymouth True Blues were good for us and deserved the win.

The first half was a fairly even affair, with both sides having their moments. Unfortunately, the visitors found the breakthrough late in the half and went into the break 1–0 ahead.

After half time, Waldon gave away a penalty — two in two games now! 🤦🏻‍♂️😂 — and Plymouth True Blues stepped up and converted comfortably to make it 2–0.

From there, we just couldn’t find a reply. PTB added two more goals and the game finished 0–4 to the visitors.

👏🏼 We’d like to wish Plymouth True Blues Res all the very best for the season ahead. We’ll see you again next year!

An absolutely impeccable shot-stopping display from Nathan tonight. Unfortunately, there were just a few too many shots for him to stop! 🤣🧤

Despite tonight’s result, we want to say a massive thank you to everyone involved with the First Team throughout pre-season.

The lads have pushed themselves, worked hard, competed and put in some seriously impressive performances along the way. There have been plenty of positives to take, and we’re in a really good spot heading into the new season.

Pre-season is done. The hard work starts now.

Match Report — Waldon Athletics 4–5 Barton Athletics

What a battle from start to finish! Waldon Athletics narrowly missed out in a thrilling nine-goal pre-season contest against Barton Athletics, with both sides giving everything until the final whistle.

The match was fiercely contested, and everyone involved put up a great fight. Waldon showed plenty of attacking intent and were awarded a penalty in the first half, creating an important opportunity to level the score 3-3 at the half time whistle.

There were a few silly mistakes that made the game more difficult than it needed to be, but the team’s work rate remained high throughout. The players continued to work hard for one another, kept pushing forward and showed excellent determination despite the setbacks.

Although the 5–4 defeat was not the result Waldon wanted, there were plenty of positives to take from the performance. The effort, togetherness and positivity on display were outstanding, and those qualities will be vital as the 26/27 season begins.

A proud performance from everyone involved. ⚽️💙❤️

WELCOME TO WALDON, BAILEY DRISCOLL & FRED ELLICOTT! 👊🏼🔥

Two young, hungry lads have earned their opportunity with the first team after an outstanding pre-season campaign.

Both Bailey and Fred have shown a fantastic willingness to learn, work hard and improve, fighting their way into the first-team squads through their performances and attitude.

They’ve both grabbed their opportunity with both hands, and we’re delighted to see them rewarded with a place amongst the first team. 💪🏼

The future is looking bright at Waldon. 🌟
