Fantastic evening with four club divers off to the drop-off (33-40m) for a dive. Great visibility with sightings of 3 slipper lobsters, hundreds of spiny lobsters, conger eels, cuttlefish, squid and octopus. And pod of common dolphins on the surface. And most excitingly, what we thought was a sunfish and turned out to be a stick 🫣 can’t have it all!

Back into Plymouth sound for the firework championships with hotdogs, pizza, tea and cookies. What an evening!

Big thanks to Peter for coxing and James for crewing 🤗

Mizzly but fun afternoon out for a wall dive on Mashfords today. Six divers plus assistant crew Katie with max depths of 22m and 60 min run times, taking advantage of the very neapy neaps! Back to the club for a hot chocolate and peanuts

Today six members (including guest diver Peter visiting from Germany), dived the wreck of the James Egan Layne in the hot sunny weather. With visibility around 5m, sightings included conger eels, crabs and lots of fish. Beautiful day to be at sea!

Our Wednesday evening dive this week took us to Duke Rock.
A large shipping movement scuppered plans to dive Mallard Shoal, so it was off to plan B a nice draft dive at Duke Rock. Six divers had a lovely dive with two seperate sightings of Red Band Fish (sadly neither diver had their camera!) in burrows in the mud. Plus lots of crabs, juvenile fish, plaice and scallops.
Thanks to Janine for coxing and Claire for DM and crew
