Three thoughts:

1. We had nearly a full house last night on a freezing cold November evening. That makes our members a bit special, and we have no doubt whatsoever that this incident will make us all stronger.

2. The Surrey Fire and Rescue Service were incredible. They put out what was an inferno at one stage and managed to contain it to our building. Not only that, but they managed to forensically pick through the ashes to pinpoint the cause. Unbelievable professionalism and expertise.

3. Huge thanks to Ash Manor School for their help and support at this difficult time. We are blessed to have such great neighbours, and that extends to the entire local community.

As many of you will know, last night just after 3am, a fire took hold of our clubhouse. Being a wooden building it stood no chance and was completely destroyed along with all contents.
We are very grateful to everyone who offered support and help, it is hugely appreciated.
Members should know that what made us a "club" was not this building, so the club has not been destroyed. What made us a club were the friendships and camaraderie between members (many of whom are new members this year), and the fun and laughter you all had together on court. Based on the responses we have received, that has only gotten stronger.
We will be closed until at least Monday 25th and will keep you posted. The courts should be fully functional again after a clean-up. See you soon!

Massive congratulations to Rupert Robinson who yesterday won the gold medal in the 3.0 Men’s Singles (55+) event at the English Open. This is a massive achievement given that this is the largest Pickleball tournament outside the USA and this was Rupert’s first ever competitive event in pickleball. The medal was richly deserved given the time and effort that Rupert has dedicated to his Pickleball. 🏆🥇

With Wimbledon just around the corner it's the perfect time to pick up a tennis racket, learn to play tennis - and make new friends! There are three Beginners' classes per week, where you can learn the basic techniques of tennis and be rallying and playing points in no time.

We're looking for local talent to offer FREE tennis coaching to! If you have a child aged 5-9 who either loves tennis or has great hand/eye co-ordination and athletic ability, you're half-way to FREE lessons with one of the most successful elite tennis coaches in the country. The other half of what we're looking for: maturity, positive attitude, excellent behaviour, discipline, willingness to listen, a good work ethic, and "non-pushy" parents!
