Sadly this Italian frame will not be seeing the tarmac again as it is destined for the recycling man to make a few tins of baked beans 😬

The seat post/tube has suffered from galvanic corrosion, this occurs when the differing materials (aluminium/steel) weld themselves together through the process of corrosion. They cannot be separated unfortunately.
It is important to keep your bicycle components lubricated to prevent such occurances. The same type of issue can be experienced if you have an aluminium frame with carbon seat post.

On to the next then, a 90s French offering that will be tidied up to make an every day ride.

Giant Road-E, purchased by my father in summer of 2017 for well over £3,000. Bike originally had dropped bars but a replacement flat bar and gear change units were fitted (original equipment is NOT available). Bike mileage as picture. It would probably be worth getting the local bike shop to service this although I have ridden it. Gears and brakes work. Sold complete with Saddle bag (excluding rear light) and spare tube, fitted front light and mirror.

Original product information (paperwork) is present, charger and battery key also provided. Bike had not been used for a couple of years but charged up yesterday ok.

Price - £1,500.00.
