The Summer Finals concluded this afternoon. A good crowd was present all day and a buffet lunch was laid on by the bowls committee as promised.

The full results from the weekend were as follows

100 up pairs - final uncontested - winners John Kerr & Mark Barnett.

Handicap Singles - Winner - John Kerr 21-12 v Runner Up - Martin Alexander

Open Triples - Winners - Tim Curtis, Adrian Jennings & John Josebury 18-14 v Lynn Young, Steve Moore & John Williams.

Junior Singles Round Robin - Winner - Penny Cheetham, Runner up - Leah Bar-Clarke

Mixed Pairs - Winners - Sue Sturmer & Gary Mcilravey 18-8 v Lisa & Mark Hounslow

Mens and Ladies Singles finals from 2.30 this afternoon.

Not forgetting there is a buffet from 1pm.

The EIBA will be hosting a Celebration Game at Hartlepool Indoor Bowls Club on Saturday 3rd October as part of the EIBA’s ongoing commitment to raise the profile of the Disability Bowls Programme.

This friendly fixture is open to all disabled bowlers, particularly those living in the north of the country, who would like to enjoy a relaxed, welcoming game alongside like‑minded players. It’s a great opportunity to meet new people, have fun, and be part of an inclusive bowls community.

After their excellent win at the weekend against White Oak, Angel New Wave now face Egham in the National quarter final of the Fantastic Fives.

Again, it’s a neutral venue. This time it’s Donyngs Indoor Bowls Club.

The game is scheduled for this Friday 11th September with a 6.30pm start time.

There will be a buffet from approximately 1pm on the Sunday.

Awards will be handed out and photographs taken after the conclusion of the Mens and Ladies singles on Sunday.
