We are the weekly unofficial park run on The Isle of Mull. Join us to run or walk 5k, you pick the pace. All ages and levels welcome!

We meet at the picnic shelter in the carpark at Aros Park, Tobermory ready to run at 9:30 each Saturday morning.

Aros Park social Run #90

With some folks injured, and some supporting the local unofficial parkrun across the water in Lochaline this morning it was a quiet morning in the park with just Darren, Sue and the dogs … and the sun! ☀️

Hopefully see more along for our Saturday morning fun next week… until then … keeeep running 🏃🏻‍♀️ 🏃🏻‍♂️

Aros Park social Run #89

Maybe it was the sun? ☀️
Maybe it was the blue sky?
Maybe it was the thought of a run in the park? 🏃🏻‍♀️ 🏃🏻‍♂️
Maybe it was the company?
Maybe it was all of the above!
Certainly something drew the crowds this morning 😊

It was great to see so many regulars back in the park this morning enjoying a run or a walk in the sun.

Aros Park Social Run #88

We’re back!!!! 🥳

After a couple of week’s break Aros Park Run was back this morning!
And it was great to see some familiar faces again returned from their summer travels…
Well done everyone, great effort this morning!

We’ve been advised by Mull and Iona Ranger Service that there are a couple of trees down in Aros Park after the winds of the past few days.

Although the drive is passable, the path around the lochan is blocked by a fallen tree at the far end of the loch just after we would cross Pump house bridge, and FLS aren’t clearing it until Monday.

Sadly that means we’ll CANCEL our Saturday morning Parkrun at Aros Park this week.

Aros Park social Run #87

Great to welcome some visitors from Lancashire to the park this morning to join us on our lochan loops, and to have some familiar faces back among us.
We may’ve been low on numbers but we had plenty of fun!
Lovely to meet you Dave and Philippa, glad you were able to join us this time and look forward to seeing you again.

We won’t be on next week as it’s Mull Half Marathon and 10k next Saturday so dust off your running gear, and if you’re not running perhaps you can spare some time next Saturday afternoon to help the organising team?
If so, drop us a note and we’ll pass it on to the team.

Oh dear!
Aros Parkrun HQ fail!! 🤣
Guess who forgot to post Saturday’s run report 🙊

With lots of our regulars away on holiday, busy with work or just enjoying our beautiful sunny weather we were a bit low on numbers on Saturday but Shona, Gordon and Amanda gave it all they had!

Whether you fancy a quick run, a slow plod, or a walk around the lochan, our Aros Park social Run might just be what you’re looking for.
You don’t have to be great, you don’t have to be fast, you don’t even need to do the full 5k.

We’re a friendly bunch, why not come along and give it a go.

Aros Park social Run #85

The one where the sun tried to come out! ☀️☀️☀️
At last, the rain has stopped, the clouds are thinning and there was a brightness hinting at sunshine to come.

Big shout out to Eli who joined Mum at Parkrun for the first time this morning and got a new Pb over the distance, way to go Eli!

Well done to everyone who came along, great to see you.

Just a reminder, you don’t need to be a “good” or “fast” runner, in fact, you don’t even need to run!

We welcome everyone, whatever your speed, whatever your ability, whether you bomb it round, mix walking in with a slow jog or just like to take it slow.

Hopefully we’ll see you one Saturday morning at Aros Park ready to set off at 9:30…

Aros Park Social Run #84

The wet one!

Well… what can we say… ?

It’s meant to be summer but the weather definitely hasn’t got the memo!

We shared the park with the disc golfers this morning, and the rain wasn’t stopping anyone’s fun!

There were puddles that by the end of it were creating pools, there was mud… but there was also grit and determination… and still the rain poured down!

4 of us turned up though and splashed and sploshed our way round… and got our 5k in the bag!

Aros Park Social Run #83

Sorry for the late parkrun report, that storm on Thursday night knocked out WiFi in Parkrun Towers (Salen 😉) and it’s only back on today!
What a great turnout on Saturday morning, people just kept coming and it was great to see both new and familiar faces enjoying the course.
It was a bit muddy after all the rain on Thursday night but the rain stayed off on Saturday morning which was a bonus! 😊
If you’d like to join us on a Saturday, it’s 9:30 at Aros Park…. And you don’t even need to worry about a barcode 😉

Aros Parkrun #82

6 of us turned out for a pleasantly warm run around the park.
We’re here every Saturday at 9.30 if you’d like a bit of company to walk or run around the park.
Extra run this week will be the Cancer Research Pink Run at the Salen Hotel this Sunday the 21st. Run starts at 12 booking in from 11am at the Salen Hotel.
