A rather damp Lake District was our location on Saturday for our 10th rally of the year and the last event of 2025 with all to play for…….🤓
This one was the biggy with everything hanging in the balance. 🤞
Wet, muddy and slippy is probably what I expected for early December for The Grizedale Stages Rally and the grand finale…. ⛽️
Our first three stages felt good, growing with confidence as we progressed, coupled with the guidance and advice received over the season we were happy!!!
Through stages 2 and 3 I did feel we had a puncture, however we battled on as we couldn’t afford to slow down as we lost valuable time early doors. 🫣
Arriving back at service at the half way stage the puncture turned out to be a lower arm issue, the team set about the repair and all was rectified ready for the afternoon loops. 🤞
Sitting joint leader of The MG3 Rally Challenge at the start of play and 2nd SRC Junior there was only one option…………… PUSH…………
Stage 4 was a good stage for us grabbing back valuable time getting us back to within 4 seconds of the driver I needed to catch. 🤞
5 & 6 also solid, a few moments, however smooth, consistent and over the finish line………… 👏🏻⛽️👏🏻
We had clawed back the time we needed and we were both blown away when we were given the message we’d done it! 🙏

It’s been a whirlwind of a year stepping up from the junior ranks to play with the big boys, it’s been an incredable journey so far and having been surrounded by so many great people along the way has made the whole experience so much easier. 🙏🙏🙏
To end the season as overall winner of The MG3 Rally Challenge and take the top spot as The Scottish Rally Championship Junior Driver is amazing, absolutely blown away. 🍾 🏆 🍾
Like all teams we’ve had our challenges and it would have been very easy to let the head go down, but with a great team around me we battled through it with some great results along the way. 🙏⛽️🙏
We have a great group of people and I so look forward to our rally weekends, this weekend past no different catching up with the crew who assist me along the way.

I started off the season with my wing man Stuart McBride for the first 2 events who has been my side kick for the past 4 years whilst competing in The Junior Rally Scotland Championship, Craig Wallace joined me for the Speyside mid season, Owen Paterson came on board for The McRae with Paul Gribben has guided me for the balance of the season. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Car now all cleaned and back in the garage for some winter checks (thanks dad) the little MG3 has been awesome all season and I would highly recommend anyone who’s contemplating graduating or giving it a go to look into it. 👌👌👌👌👌
