What an incredible effort at yesterday’s School House Swimathon! 🏊♀️🏊♂️
Our pupils showed fantastic determination, resilience and team spirit throughout the day, challenging themselves and pushing further than many thought they could. It was wonderful to see so many pupils taking part, supporting one another and making the most of such a brilliant opportunity.
Together, they swam an amazing 2,898 lengths of our 30m pool, the equivalent of 86.94km. An incredible 10 pupils swam more than 100 lengths each, meaning they covered over 3km during the day.
A special mention goes to Darcey, Jack, Noel, Georjie, Betty, Chloe, Isabelle, Molly, Storm and Florence for each completing 100 lengths or more.
Most importantly, the event has already raised £1,806 for Motor Neurone Disease, supporting a fantastic cause. Thank you also to Joff for sharing such a kind video of support and for telling us more about his story.
Well done to every pupil who took part, and thank you to all the staff who gave their time, encouragement and support to make the day possible. A brilliant achievement all round. 👏
