Dear Participants and Supporters,

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the cancellation of this year's Golden Button Challenge. We deeply appreciate the enthusiasm and support you have all shown for this event.

Unfortunately, Storm Chandra on Tuesday has exacerbated an already soggy situation, leaving us without sufficient time to prepare the course adequately. The safety of both horse and rider is paramount, and we are committed to ensuring that all our events meet the highest safety standards.

We understand the disappointment this may cause, but we hope you understand that this decision was made with everyone's best interests in mind. Your safety and well-being are our top priorities.

Thank you once again for the unwavering support from Participants, landowners and supporters. There is no impact to the ball and we hope you all have a super evening in your dancing shoes!

Tatianna Ormiston & Cherrmount Bruno

14yo 16.2hh Grey Gelding

Bruno was bred by Tatianna's father and she has followed hounds for the last few seasons. They follow the Ballymacad foxhounds as well as the Westmeath harriers . The partnership have completed the antler challenge safely 3 years in a row, being placed in the top 3 and getting First Lady home the last two years!

They are really looking forward to taking on the GB course and their colours are Green and Gold - ones to watch!!

Introducing 🥁

Danny (owned by Karen Perrett) and his top jock, Liv Dawkins.

Danny is a horse who believes life should always be taken at intermediate speed. Minimum.

A seasoned campaigner, Danny regularly team chases and last spring expertly led the Beaglin’ Rascals’ “fox-offs”, piloted by Will Hyett, helping the team finish 2nd in the league. While speed was never in question, consistency proved the greater challenge. When Danny was sidelined by injury for the autumn, the team struggled without their frontman.

Fully recovered for the hunting season, Danny returned with renewed enthusiasm. Normally respectful of his rider, this winter he inadvertently , deposited Karen a few times while bloodhounding, and briefly forgot he wasn’t in a team chase- ending up past the Field Master, past hounds, and onto the main road before being intercepted by a kindly neighbour.

Danny is now ready for the Golden Button and promises to give his best to reach the finish line with his rider still aboard.

A lifelong hound follower with hunt challenge experience, Liv is looking forward to returning to racing after focusing on showjumping.
