Imagine missing out on running on the sand with your kids, joining the poolside Zumba, diving into the sea, laughing until your stomach hurts, or being fully present in the memories that matter because you’re too busy worrying about what your bikini body looks like
Don’t get me wrong, I believe in looking after yourself. I train. I move. I build strength. I want to be fit enough to run, lift, climb, swim and keep up with my two little girls for as long as possible.
But my goal isn’t an unrealistic body.
Not a body without stretch marks.
Not a body without cellulite.
Not a body that never jiggles.
Not a body that’s been filtered, posed, edited and perfected.
Social media has convinced so many of us that completely normal things are flaws.
So here’s my body. Relaxed. Unposed. Real.
My b***s are a bit saggier than they used to be.
My belly button looks like a deflated balloon.
There’s definitely more jiggle when I run.
And honestly? It’s fabulous.
That’s a very small price to pay for the two incredible little humans who made me a mum. These marks, changes and wobbly bits aren’t something I’m trying to hide—they’re evidence of a life well lived.
So here’s your reminder: wear the bikini. Get in the pool. Run on the beach. Be in the photo.
Your kids won’t remember what your stomach looked like.
They’ll remember that you played.
And if anything’s wobbling while you run… just tell yourself it’s applause. 👏😂
