We’re looking for an enthusiastic female football coach to lead our hugely popular Wildcats programme! 🔥

Our Wildcats pathway is already a success story — two teams have been created from the programme, with coaches progressing with those teams. 🙌

Now we want to take Wildcats to the next level and give even more girls the chance to play, develop and enjoy football in a fun, positive environment. 🧡

A full schedule of matches (almost) and a glut of goals too.

A few defeats, some new beginnings and some teams that have absolutely smashed the start of the season.

⚽ We warmly welcome our third all-female team to league football at the club. U12 Phoenix. Phoenix travelled away to Tigers JFC in Hornchurch today. The match ended in a 9-1 defeat, but the girls continue their learning each week and we look forward to seeing their journey with our club.
⚽ U13 Jaguars continued their unbeaten start to the season with a well deserved 1-1 away draw to Notley Youth. Jags were unlucky not to win, but we all know how football can be 😏
⚽ U16 Lionesses kicked off their season away to Lawford. It ended in a 3-0 defeat for the girls in Orange, but they are strong and will bounce back. We've seen it happen before 🤩

Congratulations to all of our players and to those that won POTM awards today. Keep up the great work!

Sunday football. There’s honestly not much better! ⚽️🙌

Our teams are back in action tomorrow, with 11 teams pulling on the orange and black and heading out to represent the club.

From the early start for our U8 Falcons at 9am, through to the U16 Lionesses at 2pm, there’s plenty of football, plenty of excitement and hopefully plenty of goals.

Good luck to every single player. Play with a smile, give it everything and most importantly, enjoy your football!

This World Su***de Prevention Day, Thursday 10th September 2026, we want to show everyone that talking about difficult feelings, including suicidal thoughts, does not have to be scary.

A recent poll showed that only 45% of people feel comfortable talking to family and friends about suicidal thoughts, compared to 74% who feel comfortable talking about mental health.

What Should People Do:

- Watch out for changes in behaviour that could mean someone is struggling to cope.
- Speak up to let someone know that there is support available.
- Play your part by reaching out to anyone you are concerned about.
-Ditch the stigma – suicidal thoughts are far more common than most people know – so let us talk about it!

How to help someone open up;
We know how hard it can be to find the right words to talk openly about how we are feeling. But when someone is dealing with difficult thoughts or worries, having someone there to listen can make all the difference.

Here are some tips to help you talk to someone you are worried about:

- Choose a safe, quiet space, give the other person your full attention and put away your phone.
- Ask how they are doing, using open questions that need more than a yes or no answer, such as “How do you feel?” or “What’s that like for you?”
- Listen without judgement and try not to jump straight in with your advice or opinions.
- Do not be afraid to ask someone if they are having suicidal thoughts. It gives them permission to tell you how they feel.

Let them know that there is always someone there to listen. They can call Samaritans free day or night on 116 123

YOUTH FOOTBALL IS BACK!!!

As the season kicks off for a handful of our teams, we proudly welcome our brand new U7 Raptors.
Raptors headed over to Maldon Saints today as they began the new 3v3 format.
The team were fantastic and we wish them well for their first ever season with us 💪🏻💥

Around the club;
⚽ U10 Vipers picked up where they left off last season with a convincing win.
⚽ U10 Cobras weren't so fortunate, but we heard the lads and lasses gave 100%.
⚽ U11 Tigers sadly suffered a defeat, but managed to bag 4 goals. The team played some exciting football and all the coaches remain proud.
⚽ U12 Jaguars picked up a win on the road. Winning 4-2 away to Gt. Notley. Some lovely goals and on another day, Jags could have had more.
⚽ U12 Phoenix travelled to Hawkwell Athletic for their final pre-season match. They also walked away as 4-2 victors having gone down 2-1. 4 well taken goals and some stoic defending managed to get them the win.

Well done to all our POTM and Parents POTM winners today. A very solid start for all of you.

On Friday 4th September, our U10 Meerkats were invited to WhiteNotley FootballClub to take part in the clubs' annual Roberts Youth Shield match.

You can read for yourself why Meerkats were invited and how it is always a pleasure to see how well regarded teams from our club are and to know that there are teams and clubs that share the same values.

Neil, Chris and Ernie were thrilled coaches throughout the match.
Neil added - "It was an honour to play in a match so dear to White Notley FC. Needless to say, the girls did themselves and our club proud tonight. We played some amazing football and the girls were cooking!"

Congratulations Meerkats for winning the Roberts Youth Shield - a sign of things to come perhaps...?

Sincere thanks again to White Notley Youth FC for the invitation for Meerkats to take part in such a great tradition of your club. Wishing you all a great season ahead.

As the summer comes to an end and a new school year begins, we want to wish every single one of our players the very best of luck.

For some of you, this is just another step forward. For others, it may mean a brand new school, new teachers, new classmates and exciting challenges ahead.

Remember the qualities you show on the football pitch: be brave, work hard, believe in yourself, support those around you and never be afraid to make mistakes. Those same qualities will take you a long way in the classroom too.

Whether you're pulling on your school uniform for the first time or heading back for another year, make memories, make friends and give it your all.

Most importantly, be proud of who you are.
