🌊 MEET YOUR TEACHER 🌊

Hi, I’m Liv, the very proud owner of Waves Swim School. Let me introduce myself!

I first went swimming at just 6 weeks old, and ever since I have been described as a complete water baby. Whether is it is swimming, paddle boarding, surfing or just playing mermaids, I’ll be there! 🧜‍♀️

Teaching children to swim is something I hold very close to my heart. Although I always had lessons growing up, I was introduced to swim teaching at 13 years old when I became a ‘Poolside Spotter’ for my local swim school. From then on I decided I’d become a Swim Teacher myself as soon as possible! I am a qualified STA Level 2 and Parent, Baby and Toddler swim teacher.

I have also completed an Undergraduate degree in Sport and Exercise Science with PE at Brighton University, with my final assignment focusing on children’s ability to swim 25 meters by the time they leave primary school. I studied the opinions of swim school owners, swim teachers and swimming stakeholders to understand why there was a lack of swim teaching provisions and what more we can do to help.

I hope you have all had an amazing summer and I am really looking forward to meeting you all next week. Please do not hesistate to contact me with any questions before we start! 🌊
