Last week was all about grading preparation, fine tuning and what is required. Also on Thursday advanced Kata .

Last week at the Alliance, Sensei Butler focused on power generation, utilizing the hips. Also on Tuesday night our juniors are very much improving with every lesson. Thursday night was Kata night, going from the first 5 right through to advanced Kata. Excellent turnout for both lessons 🥋🥋

Last week at Alliance Shotokan Karate grading preparation continued. Under the watchful eye of Sensei Butler those taking 3rd kyu and 1st kyu, sharpened up their ippons and Kata. Our juniors were being watched by Sensei Ruston Sr, they're coming on very well. We continue on Tuesday night 🥋🥋

With gradings just over 3 weeks away, Sensei started the grading preparation last week. Polishing up both Kata, ippons and sanbon. Well done everyone on Tuesday and Thursday.

Last week at Alliance Shotokan Karate Club, Tuesday night was based around taisabaki in multi attacking drills. Utilizing the hips and foot work. Good work by our juniors.
Thursday night was Kata night with Sensei Butler. A very enjoyable week of training.

This week at Alliance Shotokan Karate. Tuesday was a mixture of multiple direction attacks and defence, changing partners for the partner work drills. Thursday night Sensei Ruston Jr took the top class, working on delivery of different kicks, and kumite techniques. Sensei Butler took the junior class. And Sensei Ruston Sr was with our new student Jack.

Last night's lesson Sensei Butler had some urgent business, so our juniors were with Sensei Ruston. Whilst the other class were supervised by myself (Alison Withers). After a few multiple combination basic techniques, a mini circuit training exercise. Plus as requested ippons practice. Was surely a very hot one 🔥🔥.
Well done to everyone who trained in the heat OSS 🥋
