Tuesday night with Sensei Butler was based on partner work, with kicking towards the opposite side of the opponents. Our juniors were with Sensei Ruston Sr.
Thursday night's lesson our juniors were with Sensei Ruston Jr, whilst Myself ( Alison Withers) and Lauren Powell were guiding Cody through Hangetsu, Empi and Bassai Dai.

Last Tuesday and Thursday night's lessons were based around Kata. Using the Kata bunkai for ippons and self defence. Very interesting and most enjoyable lesson.

Tuesday night's lesson with Sensei Butler was based around attacking and defending the 4 points of the compass. Followed by bag & pad work.Thursday night consisted of brushing up and perfecting Kata performance.

Tuesday night Sensei Butler focused on kiba dach and zenkutsu dach, together with Sensei Ruston Sr. Changing from one stance to the other. Also running through grading preparation partner work and Kata requirements. Thursday night's lesson was fine tuning just in preparation for gradings.
With gradings just 5 days away, as Sensei always says fail to prepare is preparing to fail. Tuesday night we continue. Can't wait OSS 🥋

Last Tuesday's lesson was based around Jiyu Upon kumite, starting off slowly then building up the speed. Practice of ippons & kata for those who are taking gradings. Thursday night's lesson was grading preparation. Only 3 lessons until the kyu grading on Thursday 28th May.

The past 2 weeks of lessons have focused around, fast paced basic combinations coupled with partner work. Also grading preparation has continued. With gradings being just 3 weeks away to Sensei continued to put grading candidates through their paces. Polishing up the fine details, and Kata that is required. West continue next week. Last Tuesday's lesson focused on utilizing power generation and closing the distance between opponents. Finished off with Kata and bag work. Thursday night's lesson was centralised around grading preparation. With gradings being just 5 weeks away, Sensei put everyone through their paces including kyu grades and Dan grades. Looking forward to next week. OSS 🥋
