We decided we didn’t just want more girls playing basketball. We wanted more girls belonging in basketball. ✨🤩

More spaces where she can show up as herself.
More opportunities to play, grow and lead. 💜

1. Shout at them to intimidate or belittle them.
There’s a difference between raising your voice to get attention, calling instructions during a game, or being heard in a loud environment — and shouting at a player to make them feel small.

2. Make them feel stupid for missing a shot or making a mistake.

3. Compare them to another player to make them feel inadequate.

4. Keep pushing a player beyond their physical or emotional limits.

5. Assume.
Assume they’re lazy.
Assume they don’t care.
Assume you know what’s going on with them.

What a brilliant day celebrating Northamptonshire’s young people! 💜🏀

We were proud to support the ’strust Children in Care Celebration Event with a basketball activation — alongside an amazing range of activities, from animals and bouncy castles to boxing, tennis, trampolining, face painting and more!

Huge thank you to Northampton Children’s Trust, all the staff, volunteers and organisations who made the day so special. It was clear how much care and thought went into creating an amazing experience for the young people. ❤️

Thank you for inviting us along to support yesterday’s event at Fernie Fields 🏀

It was great to spend the day with so many wonderful organisations, charities and, most importantly, young people enjoying sport and trying something new.

We really enjoyed being part of it and supporting such a great community event.
