Tintagel Surf Life Saving Club

Tintagel Surf Life Saving Club We are a small club in North Cornwall with our members coming from the area of Tintagel, Delabole, Camelford, Boscastle and St Teath.

The club is a registered charity and run by a band of dedicated volunteers, led by our club chairman, Les Freke, who has been involved in surf life saving since the early seventies, being a Beach lifeguard, Instructor, and Examiner within the Cornish region.

Juniors and Seniors started on Sunday with a great paddle out on the rescue boards!

We would like to say a big thank you for the kind donation from the organisers of the recent Easter Egg Hunt in Tintagel.

And just a reminder we have a quiz night next Saturday 25th April at Treknow Village Hall, don’t forget to book your spaces with Nel.

The King Arthur’s Pub is also hosting a Bingo night on Monday 20th April and have very kindly selected Surf Life Saving Club as the recipients, so please come along if you are free.

We will have hot mulled wine for sale to warm up with afterwards.

Suggested donation £5, with all funds going to Tintagel Surf Life Saving Club.

We’re holding try outs for new Nippers (ages 8–12) who’d like to join our club and start their surf lifesaving journey!
📅 Friday 14th November
🕕 6:00pm
📍 Camelford Leisure Centre Pool
Come along and find out what being a Nipper is all about — swimming, surf skills, teamwork, and ocean safety!
🏅 Requirement:
Children must be able to swim at least 3 lengths (60 metres) confidently.
👉 Booking required:
Please drop us a message with your child’s name, date of birth, and a contact phone number and email to reserve a place.
We can’t wait to welcome the next generation of surf lifesavers!
