Tintagel Surf Life Saving Club

Tintagel Surf Life Saving Club We are a small club in North Cornwall with our members coming from the area of Tintagel, Delabole, Camelford, Boscastle and St Teath.

The club is a registered charity and run by a band of dedicated volunteers, led by our club chairman, Les Freke, who has been involved in surf life saving since the early seventies, being a Beach lifeguard, Instructor, and Examiner within the Cornish region.

UPCOMING TRYOUTS!!

We will be having our annual tryouts for potential new members at the end of October.
So if your child would like to join us, and become a part of our club? Please keep an eye on our posts for the confirmed date.

The youngest age group we are able to accept is 8yrs old, and they must be able to swim 3 lengths of the pool continuously as a minimum requirement.

Today a few of our team had the pleasure of assisting Finian on his charity challenge in aid of The Wave Hub. He successfully paddled a bodyboard from Boscastle Harbour down the coastline and into Trebarwith Strand (via a quick visit to Gul Rock 😁). The total distance covered was 6.42miles which Finian completed in an astounding time of 3hrs 51minutes.

Juniors and Seniors started on Sunday with a great paddle out on the rescue boards!

We would like to say a big thank you for the kind donation from the organisers of the recent Easter Egg Hunt in Tintagel.

And just a reminder we have a quiz night next Saturday 25th April at Treknow Village Hall, don’t forget to book your spaces with Nel.

The King Arthur’s Pub is also hosting a Bingo night on Monday 20th April and have very kindly selected Surf Life Saving Club as the recipients, so please come along if you are free.

We will have hot mulled wine for sale to warm up with afterwards.

Suggested donation £5, with all funds going to Tintagel Surf Life Saving Club.
