Bowdon R.U.F.C., founded in 1877, lies in North Cheshire, located on Clay Lane in Timperley , only a few minutes drive from Manchester International Airport and the arterial motorway network of the North West of England (M56, M60, M62). Historically renowned for its bon homie & traditional rugby welcome, today Bowdon R.U.F.C. continues to improve the facilities and coaching provided and offers its

members, old and new, amateur sport at its best. The opportunity for participation in rugby at many levels and of varying degrees of personal commitment is available to all, the choice is yours.

Whistlers Trophy award 🤝

‘It gives me great pleasure to announce we have won the famous Whistlers Trophy. Voted by all the referees who have officiated in the North West region, during the 25/26 Season. This is a great honour to the club and recognises all sections of the club for the experience referees receive at Bowdon on and off the field. A big thank you to all the rugby sections for their professionalism and respect to all our officials and Rachael and her team in creating an awesome experience from arrival, changing room standards and the superb post match experience. Comments like this is what GOOD looks like at Bowdon and Bowdon are undoubtedly the BEST of the BEST, setting the standard this season. Makes me feel tremendously proud as the Club referee contact and Head of House, for making it happen last season!
