Thank You for an Incredible Launch Night at Unleashed Performance Reading!

Last night was a huge success, and we want to thank everyone who joined us to make our launch event such a memorable evening. Bringing Unleashed Performance to its new location has come with its challenges—but as with fitness, nothing worthwhile comes easily.

Unleashed Performance (formerly Progressive Fitness) has been in the fitness industry for over 20 years, forging extraordinary relationships along the way. Last night was a testament to this community spirit, with familiar faces from the Boot Camp days and our first gym in Tilehurst joining us once again. This community goes beyond just current members; it’s about everyone who’s been on the journey with us. By setting people on the right path and transforming health and fitness, we create strong bonds. Our mission at Unleashed Performance Reading is to keep changing lives and bringing people together through fitness.
We owe a massive thank you to the incredible friends, coaches, and partners who helped get this project off the ground. Their support made last night possible—and most of them gave their time simply because they care.

Pure Gym’s PT Training: A 6 Piece Circuit 40 sec per station - 30 Secs to 1-minute rest between sets (without disturbances). Completed today with Zuza From Body Shaping Training.

I dug in deep to max out 294 Cals in 30 mins (the HIIT part of a three-piece training program. Add this to 9 classes and three personal training sessions in 5 days. This session would usually clock up 3-400 cals easily, but fatigue took hold and didn’t even get me into the top threshold.

These are the early warning of overtraining; whether we think we are or feel superhuman, our bodies need rest and nutrition and recover. It will help with gains goalward bound. If you would like help with what works best for you, visit www.ss1000.co.uk.

I posted an Asian & Caribbean Fusion; the meal was stacked with complex carbs to fuel my back-2-back Spin LBT classes. The less time vegetables take between peeling and cooking saves nutrients, and the next best thing to cooking near raw is keeping in all the nutrients - lid on pressured from boiling to bowl.

I've worked out how, when, and what to eat for maximum fuel, and this meal delivered - helping me push through 45 mins of Pure Spin, residing for 22mns in Zone 4 threshold.

The session was a Spin-Tabata style workout including all the fav's sprints, hills, chases, and grinds strategically designed to engage every rider from the front of the house.

Our unique roll in motion recovery process takes the pressure of the legs and puts it on the upper body relaxing the heart rate but maintaining spin tempo RPM for maxing our output. See the image with yellow written input two lines show this stage.

Total Calories burnt 521 and still not fully into Threshold 5 - developing this program as you read.

No 51 of the MUST Do, Have, Try tips for training in 2022 is THE SMART WATCH.

Smart Watches measures time, distance, HR & Cadence – ideal for your training and monitoring your fitness and wellbeing progress on you journey to success.

Most device will show you routine outcomes, acting almost like a gym-buddy and coach if you have some form of program to workout to, making it easier to work on the areas that are not progressing in accordance to the training program after assessing data from the watch.

They can be expensive to buy and can feel like big brother is always watching.
But you do get to see what has been achieved in you stint at the gym or on a training program

You can also put too much emphasis and give to much control to the Smart Watch missing out on the fun factors that can come with training. Group exercises are a fun and welcoming place to start you journey with a Smart Watch as they are packed full of activities fun and progressive so you may well see better gains for your spend.
