Its back !!! the Project Phoenix has been relaunched with a new target list the crowd funding site to see whats it's is all about

To enable the ongoing preservation of our historic runways, so we can continue to teach and promote Gliding.

The new tar boiler is now fitted on the trailer and is good to go, we will be putting it to good use in the very near future!.

A huge thanks to all those who donated in the crowd funding site, the near £20k raised has helped to stabilise and repair lots of areas on the runways, and we will be continuing the work on the never ending project soon.

I just love the smell of Na**lm in the morning ! well hot asphalt anyway. OK we ran into issues when the concrete came up, and had a bit of a cost overrun but the large areas on 15/33 are now relaid and 17 strips across 03/21 also repaired. All should be finished by tonight, so all runways serviceable again for tomorrow, hoping to get them swept before the weekend. happy aviating.

Work has started on the Runway repairs at Tibenham, thanks to the generosity of those who contributed.

A huge thank you to all those who donated, we will be issuing vouchers for those who have rewards and I will be in contact by email with you shortly.
As a result of the success of the project Phoenix, I'm hoping to get major repairs done by a contractor before the club re-opens for operations, and have also placed an order for a new purpose built Tar Boiler to make our in-house operations easier when we can resume with the willing band of warriors.

We have reached our Target !!!!!
A huge thank you to all those who have supported us, a truly magnificent effort from you all, this has enabled the Sport England Grant of £4000 so the current total is currently over £15,800 and rising.
A couple of extra special thank you's to Paul Wilkinson for his very generous donation and to our friends in the USA at the Kassel Mission Historical Society for theirs, both of which pushed us over the target of £10,000 which enabled the Sport England grant to "kick" in.
Let's not stop now, there's lots of airfield tarmac to go at and some other projects as well, so let's keep rolling along for the next 8 days until the project ends.
So please keep those donations coming, and there's still some great rewards to be had as well.
