BLACKPOOL MINISTRADA
What a fabulous weekend our display team had in Blackpool!
The girls represented the club impeccably and performed brilliantly when it was their turn to take to the world-famous Tower Ballroom floor. From start to finish, they kept the audience engaged, cheering and enjoying every moment. We were incredibly proud to bring home 1st Place for Use of Props & Equipment!
Trips like these build team spirit, strengthen friendships and create unforgettable memories. And what fun everyone had at the Pleasure Beach! We definitely discovered who our thrill-seekers are… and who were perfectly happy watching from the sidelines ..... and that includes the coaches 😆
After the excitement of Saturday’s performance and victory, and all the fun on Sunday, it was time to head home. A huge thank you to Raymond from Dunnetts, who once again got us there and back safely. He shared every moment with us and is most definitely part of our team.
So much hard work and dedication went into making this our first ever Ministrada trip, and we hope it’s one that everyone will remember for years to come.

What a swashbuckling performance from our girls this afternoon! They saved their finest display for today and once again rose to the occasion like true pirate queens.
To top it all off, we sailed away with 1st Prize for Props & Equipment!

This weekend, the clubs Display Team Fusion is heading to the iconic Blackpool Tower Ballroom to take part in the Ministrada for the very first time! Similar to Scottish Gymnastics’ Gymfest, this event celebrates display gymnastics in a fun, friendly, non-competitive atmosphere, bringing teams together to showcase their creativity and performances.
This year's exciting new routine has a Pirate theme, and we want to give a huge shout out to Olivia, Rhea and Josie, who will be taking to the floor for their very first display with the team.
With it also being Fusion’s first visit to Blackpool, it makes the trip even more special.

A massive thank you goes to all of our amazing parents who have worked so hard fundraising throughout the year. Their efforts have helped keep costs for everyone to a minimum, and raised enough money to treat every team member to tickets for the Pleasure Beach, where everyone will be enjoying a well-earned morning of fun on Sunday!

We can’t wait to see this year’s pirate-themed routine take to the famous Blackpool Tower Ballroom floor. We’re sure Fusion will deliver a swashbuckling performance fit for the finest crew to ever sail the seven seas 🏴‍☠️⚓

Our Bettyhill Gymnasts were presented with their Coaches Awards this week.

We also purchased a new wedge to help with their training - as you can see they've gone from a teenie tiny wedge to SUPER SIZED!! And it looks like the Advanced girls are delighted with the purchase!

As well as our Stars of the Week in our Beginners and Junior classes, we've introduced "Earn Your Stars" for our Intermediate gymnasts.
Stars can be earned for:
• Fantastic effort
• A brilliant work ethic
• Achieving something new
• Great listening
• Perseverance
• Or being in the gym and enjoying gymnastics!
Our first Star went to Maisie ⭐
Maisie has been working incredibly hard on her bridge kickovers. Her excellent listening, determination, and refusal to give up paid off tonight when she did her bridge kickover on the floor without any coach support.
Well done, Maisie - we're so proud of you! 💚🖤

A glimpse into our Competitive Squads Saturday morning session.
Alongside strength & conditioning, line work and routine preparation, our gymnasts also get to spend time working on the skills they've chosen to learn.
Here's just a few of our older girls perfecting their skills:
• Sophie – ½ twisting straight back somersault
• Emily – back somersault
• Phoebe – straight back somersault
• Isla – backflip
We are now preparing for our upcoming competitions in October and November. Our competition calendar has been incredibly busy this year, but our girls have continued to show just how talented and dedicated they are, delivering outstanding gymnastics at every event we've competed in.

This week we welcomed back all our gymnasts for another fantastic session! It was wonderful to see our classes remaining full, and we hope everyone who moved into a new class had a great first session and enjoyed settling in with their new group.
We’re excited for the 2026/27 session and are confident it will be just as fun, engaging and successful as previous years. Here’s to another amazing year of learning, progress and happy gymnasts 💚🖤
