No yoga this week 🧘‍♂️

Incase you haven’t seen the schedule, there will be no yoga this week but classes will be back on as usual from Monday the 13th of April 🌞

I’m taking some time out to rest and spend time with my family! 🐣

As always big thanks and big love to everyone who’s been coming to yoga ❤️🙏

If your class pass expires before you can use it to book into class next week just send me a message to sort it out ☺️

Also if anyone is interested in learning some skills like the handstand in this video then book yourself in for Thursday night skills class, I’ll be there to give you some in person coaching to help you achieve any skill your currently working on or dream about achieving 🙌 🤸‍♀️

Where I’m at now 🙂

Firstly thanks to everyone who took the time to read and show support on the last post but I still got more to say ❤️

So as you can tell from the last post, things feel different for me now. Nothing may appear to be different from the outside (except for my short hair) but I can tell you that instead of feeling like
• I need to be a yoga teacher
• the feeling of needing to control my business
• that I need to be the best at what I do
• the feeling that I need to live in a certain way in order to be happy
• the need to be successful
• the need to eat a certain way
• the need to look a certain way
And so much more…

Those needs just don’t really have the same grip on me anymore…

Which is very strange because it was those needs that gave me the energy to build this business and share yoga with everyone 🥺

This is why I’m writing these posts, it’s left me feeling disjointed 😕

Stuck in a place where I feel I can’t turn my back on everything I’ve built so far but also knowing that it’s not sustainable for me to try and keep living to my old expectations 🙃

I just want to inform you and reassure everyone that I will still be teaching yoga classes however I will likely start making some changes. It’s not going to be all instant because I honestly have no idea what I’m going to do with my business right now but I know that eventually things will change a little 🌞

Once again thanks so much for everyone who’s reading these posts. I really want to do my best in this world to be honest and by sharing these posts, you make it much easier for me to express myself and I hope that it will also allow others to be honest especially on social media 🫶

I hope that I can find a way to keep myself and my business growing sustainably 🤞

Honesty and vulnerability about 2025 🙃

Ok so last post I threw up some pictures of all the fun, cool and exciting things that were going on in my life in 2025. Yeah for sure the house renovations took over my life and so did all the adventures but I just wanted to make a post to talk a little about what really goes on behind the scenes because it’s not always sunshine and rainbows 🌈

Whilst in India I was initiated into a yoga and meditation practice that was consuming 2-3 hours of my daily life.
2025 was also the second year of therapy for me.
So whilst trying to maintain a very unrealistic yoga practice plus going through extremely intense therapy, also whilst running a business and renovating a house… I broke a little.

The need to try and control everything was too much 😮

Since I gave up the need to control everything and allowed myself to make changes.. life has been very different! But this is all part of the process as I’ve learned that yoga is not designed to help make you the perfect person but instead it equips you with the tools you need to keep making change and break the mental limitations that stop you from growing 🧘

This isn’t always easy but it’s been a big transformation within myself this year. I’ve been very grateful to have therapy and friends help support me through this transitioning stage ❤️

This is the real reason why I’ve been very quiet on social media. It’s not all because I’ve been very busy but it’s because I’ve been needing every bit of energy to focus on my mental health

I just wanted to share this because I don’t want to hold things in and pretend that everything is alright. So things may change within my business as I continue to explore the inner change.

2025 has been a wild year and my social media has been awful quiet but here’s a few pics that summarise what I’ve been up to since I got back from India this time last year ☺️

Yoga classes start again on Monday 12th of Jan ☺️❄️
This time of year also marks 31 trips around the sun for me and also 4 years of teaching yoga in the north of Scotland 🥳
All classes are now 1 hour and can be bought with any class pass. So if you fancy coming along to Yoga for Strength on Thursday night, don’t be shy! 🙏

I’ll be looking to run a new class this year but waiting for the snow to clear up… more info coming soon!!

Relax in nature 🧘‍♀️

Louise, our North coast People Engagement Officer, and Iain Black from Flow North Yoga and Wellbeing delivered a series of ‘Tools for Nature Relaxation’ workshops across the Caithness community last year. The workshops delved into the science behind why deepening our relationship with nature can benefit our wellbeing, as well as fostering a greater sense of responsibility for the natural world.

In the sessions, Louise and Iain provided a toolbox of tips and techniques for slowing down and strengthening our connection with the natural world on our doorstep – or even outside our window.

One tool that we shared during the workshops is our “Caithness Nature Relaxation Film” which features footage of well-known environments in Caithness overlaid with a guided meditation written by Iain. We know that in winter it can be more difficult to get out into nature, so why not pop on the film and relax with nature from home.
