Membership Renewal Update

Unfortunately, Chris Wynne has decided to step back form doing the club membership this year. The club would like to thank Chris for his dedication, hard work, and commitment over many years in not only doing the membership tickets but supporting the club.

The club will be using Clubmate ( www.clubmate.fish) going forward not only to do the memberships but also to develop a new website later in the year. This change will bring the club up to date in the way it gives out information and updates the members. We expect this to be in place at the start of April in time for members to renew their membership for the 1st of May.

We have a detailed information on the existing members which will be used to cross check anyone that is renewing, including the night tickets. The link on how to renew will be posted on the members page in April which will allow members to renew on-line. No new members will be allowed to join until after the 1st of May.

Night tickets need to have been paid in full along with the membership by the 1st May or it will be allocated to those on the waiting list.

Members that don’t have access to be able to go on-line will still be able to renew by phone and make payment during April. Please take the time to look at Clubmate to see the benefits that this system will bring to the club, along with the website which will have match dates, rules and general information about the club and Crofton.

Tech4 are proud to support the 'Reel Education' project in conjunction with Angling Trust
A few of our team are keen anglers; though it's not just about catching fish. It's about our beautiful environment. Cumbria has an abundance of rivers and lakes. It's getting kids out in to nature and teaching them about the ecology of it all as well as having fun in the process.
Next year, Tech4 are teaming-up with Carlisle and District coarse angling club to support the delivery of angling events at Crofton Lake.

🚓 Evening patrols of Sedbergh and Kirkby Lonsdale last night. Great to catch up with some of our rural whatsapp admins whilst we were down there too. These people are dedicated to keeping an eye out for suspicious activity, reporting it to us and sharing it within their communities and we're very grateful for their support.

Club Announcement

The club will be holding a vote in January 2024 on capping the membership to 290. This is to keep Crofton an enjoyable place to fish without becoming overcrowded. This would certainly be the case when the first 30lb carp comes out, which surely is not far away with the growth we have seen from the recent stockings.

The decision to hold the vote is to support the members that have stuck with the club through some difficult times and have also funded the improvements including the Otter fence. We have at present 285 members, but to avoid a sudden rush new memberships have been suspended until the vote has taken place.

The details on how to vote will be published in early January and only existing members will have a vote.
