It’s been around a month since the IUSCA Conference, and I wanted to share a few takeaways that may be helpful.

One of the reasons I attend conferences, workshops and events is perspective. It’s easy to become immersed in our own coaching environment and assume our experiences are universal.

These aren’t a summary of the conference, nor are they the only takeaways.

Thank you to the IUSCA team, the speakers and everyone I had the opportunity to chat with throughout the day. It was a privilege to attend, represent athletenow, host the roundtable discussion and judge the research posters.

To my fellow keep reading and educating yourself. To our friends, family and partners, please start reading.
We are done being ‘polite’ about our pain… if it makes you feel uncomfortable… it should!

I am asking you to read these. Advocate through education. Beyond awareness, understanding what we have each been telling the world all along, what research continues to confirm.

It’s not in our head!

It’s March which means it’s endometriosis awareness month.
We hear the 1 in 10 statistic but we don’t always talk about what those 1 in 10 are living with.

Endometriosis is a systemic inflammatory disease that impacts those who live with it on a daily basis, and it is very misunderstood.

Over the next few weeks I’ll share a few posts about the condition and resources. I’ll also share how I manage my condition, some of my journey (which is more personal than I like to share on social media generally).

Awareness is the starting point, education and compassion is the next and research needs to continue to drive forward so real change can happen for those who live with this.

Feeling Proud

What started as a conversation in a car share after a course has grown into something truly special.

Today, Athlete Now supports athletes from more than 55 sports, helping them connect with verified practitioners and sports facilities that meet industry standards, making it easier to find trusted, quality support.

Along the way, we have built meaningful partnerships with organisations and brands that share our values of quality, integrity, and transparency. Together, we collaborate to promote their high-quality services, products, and resources, offering our members exclusive access and support, all made with athletes in mind.

Our directors, myself, steve and Holly, all come from the sports industry and remain deeply connected to it, supporting athletes and practitioners alike. We are not a corporate tech business trying to capitalise on sport; we are a team that lives and breathes it.

Our journey began after market research revealed how many athletes had been let down by unqualified individuals or poor practice, and how genuine, experienced practitioners were being undercut by those operating outside their scope.

Through education, connection, and verification, we aim to support practitioners and service providers while helping athletes make informed choices. The process of verification and continual reflection is not the complete solution, but we believe it is a step in the right direction for the sporting community.

A sincere thank you to our Partners for believing in this mission and helping us make a real difference.

Thank you to our ambassadors for working with us to feedback, keep us aligned to our mission and values.

Thank you for the kind words from

In honour of his hard work and progress over the past few years developing Scott’s weightlifting and athleticism for his other sports (as well as wearing many other hats), I thought everyone would appreciate being Rick Rolled.
