🏆 PROMOTION! DIVISION 3 HERE WE COME! 🏏💙

What a fantastic achievement for our Thornton Dale 2nds, securing promotion to Division 3! 🎉

It’s been a brilliant season for the team and one that deserves huge recognition. Not least because this year has also been about blooding our young players and enjoying their first season of senior cricket!!!

That makes this promotion all the more special — developing the next generation while competing successfully and achieving promotion is something the whole club can be incredibly proud of.

The photograph (taken earlier this season) might not include everyone who has played their part, but every player who has pulled on the Thornton Dale shirt, turned up, scored runs, taken wickets, held catches or simply supported the team has contributed to this achievement.

A massive congratulations to every member of the 2nds squad — what a season! 💙

What a fantastic day of cricket yesterday, friendship and community — and, most importantly, £250 raised for Lawrence Nurses

A huge thank you to everyone who played, supported, donated and helped make the day such a success.

Thank you to the players from Thornton Dale XI and Scalby XI for putting on an entertaining and thoroughly enjoyable game.

Thank you to both captains and everyone involved in organising and running the match.

A very special thank you to Dave at Caffè Stop, Eastgate Square, Pickering, for generously providing the cricket teas completely free of charge. They were fantastic, as always, and your generosity made a real difference.

Thank you to everyone who donated and contributed to the £250 raised for Lawrence Nurses, supporting the incredible work they do providing hospice care in people’s homes.

And finally, thank you to everyone who came along, cheered from the sidelines, helped behind the scenes, prepared the ground, served refreshments and simply played their part in making the day such a memorable one.

The 1st XI make the trip over the A64 for an away clash at Ganton whilst the 2nds host Scarborough Rugby Club and look to secure the points to achieve promotion to Div 3.

All Stars Cricket Continues to Thrive Across Yorkshire! 🏏

The Yorkshire Cricket Foundation is celebrating another fantastic year for All Stars Cricket, with more than 6,200 bookings recorded across the county in 2026.

Since the programme launched in 2017, it has now achieved an incredible 53,000 bookings.

Congratulations and thank you to all the clubs, volunteers, coaches, parents and young cricketers whose enthusiasm and commitment continue to make All Stars Cricket such a success.

It is fantastic to see so many children being inspired to begin their cricketing journey across Yorkshire!
