I enjoyed teaching tonight's yoga class to my four students. I keep classes small so I can adapt the practice for anyone working through injuries or pregnancy symptoms; everyone's body is different, everyone's pregnancy is different, so our yoga practice can be different too, even in the same class. I want pregnancy yoga to feel lovely in the body and relaxing in the mind.
Over tea afterwards our informal chat moved onto birth options, such as where you give birth and if/what pain relief you might have. It reminded me that everyone's births are different too and don't have to look the same either. I promised my students I would remind myself which books I read in my last pregnancy which really helped me think through my options; they were Your No Guilt Pregnancy Plan by Rebecca Schiller and How To Give Birth Like a Feminist, by Milli Hill.
If you'd like to join us next week for some mindful movement, breathing, relaxation and a natter over tea, I'll be teaching again on Thursday 17 Sept and you can book at bookwhen.com/claireyogaclasses (link in bio).
