It is a fantastic riding school that offers: pony rides, field instructions, half hour and hour private lessons and hacks though beautiful local countryside to name a few of our activities. We have a selection of horses to suit every rider no matter on age, size or ability. We have an amazing high quality self catering cottage on site which is available independent of riding or with horse riding o

ptions. We have plans to open up another property on site to tailor specifically for riding holidays and a campsite that will be open for use independent of riding or with riding options. By popular demand… we’ve managed to squeeze a little extra Own a Pony Day magic into the summer holidays! 🐴☀️

Our last days filled quickly and were such a hit with the children, so we’ve added one more full day of riding, pony care, games and plenty of pony-filled fun.

📅 Friday 7th August
🕙 10am–3pm
💷 £50 per child
🐴 Suitable for all abilities

All they need is a packed lunch, long trousers for riding, and waterproofs if the weather looks a bit Scottish! 😂

A lovely day at Thornhill Ride Out. Huge thank you to Audrey Muirhead , my amazing riders/helpers for turning the ponies out so beautifully and representing us so well, and of course the ponies themselves for looking the part and behaving brilliantly. Proud of them all.
