The big build up to next Monday/Tuesday's Guinness World Record Attempt is well and truly in swing.
Border TV have kindly agreed to cover this amazing event and will be at Thornhill Golf Club this Friday at 10.30 am, to interview Jeff & David, and maybe some others, for an article on their evening news programme, 'Lookaround'.
It would be great for the boys to have lots of support there and for atmosphere, so get your Prostate Buddies gear on and head there on Friday, all welcome!

🏌️‍♂️ WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT AT THORNHILL GOLF CLUB! 🏌️‍♂️

On Monday 22nd June 2026, Thornhill Golf Club will be the stage for an incredible challenge as and attempt to break a Guinness World Record – all in support of a fantastic local charity, Prostate Buddies D&G.

⛳ The challenge?
To play golf continuously for 24 hours and complete more than 180 holes to set a new Guinness World Record!

💙 Why are they doing it?
To raise vital funds and awareness for Prostate Buddies D&G, a charity that provides essential support, advice and a safe space for men and their partners affected by prostate cancer throughout Dumfries & Galloway.

Every penny raised will stay local and help the charity continue its invaluable work in our community.

We would love to see as many people as possible come along to support David and Jeff during this remarkable challenge. Whether you can donate, sponsor, cheer them on, or simply share this post, your support will make a real difference.

32 members braved the chilly conditions today for the annual Hair O The Dog.

The overall winner was our Vice Captain Ian MacDonald on the better inward half from Eck Dunbar.

Ladies was won by Diane Duff & Jean Young.

Hope everyone has thawed out, see you all at Opening Day in April when hopefully it will be a lot warmer.
