We are a family run business and we've been based at the stunning Drumlanrig Castle for more than 20 years now (crikey....).We do bikes... we fix 'em; sell 'em; build tracks for them; build 'em; race 'em; hire 'em; and, talk 'em;But most of all, we just get out and ride 'em - and so should you. So if you do bikes too - drop in for a blether and a look at our well stocked wee shop, you can expect a friendly welcome...

This should be of interest to everybody who follows this page.

If you can get along to the drop in sessions, then please do and give them an idea of the importance of recreational mountain biking at Drumlanrig to this area.
Maybe reopening the once beautiful trails down to and along the Nith Linns could be a priority.
Perhaps creating a ‘friends of the trails’ type group to formalise volunteer maintenance parties.
But whatever you’re after either drop in and speak or if you can’t, drop them an email.

Massive apologies to everyone looking for the famous Rik’s Bike Shed bike hire service this bank holiday weekend, we are no longer in operation at Drumlanrig Castle.

My lease was terminated by the estate earlier this year and I still haven’t got else anywhere suitable to set up in.

We recommend reaching out directly to Drumlanrig Estate for more information regarding trail maintenance and future plans. They’ll have the lowdown on all things trail-related. 🚲

Last Sunday family bike ride was one for the books! 🚴‍♂️ Massive turnout, awesome effort, and some great memories made.

As we pack up the shop, we’re an bit overwhelmed by the amount of support we’ve received from our friends and local biking community. Thanks again to everyone who made it down to the shop over the weekend!

Here’s my trusty Burley Cub X trailer looking for a new family to join.
This is the extra tough hire version of the trailer with the solid floor pan and tougher everything.
They sell new at £900 but you can grab a wee bargain here for £450.

I’ve a lovely retro double act here looking for a forever home.
For her a Dawes 531 Galaxy in original condition, fitted with Shimano brakes and gears with a triple Stronglight crankset. And for him an Orbit with a full Campagnolo group, also triple cranks and a Brooks saddle.
£600 for the pair.
