Knockenhair Hospitality are absolutely ecstatic to announce that we will be working in partnership with Thornhill Golf Club to provide all food and bar services at the club from April 2026 ⛳️

We would firstly like to thank Diane, Malcolm and the JD team for their dedication to the club over the last 3 years and for setting a high standard for us to maintain. We want to thank you for your support and wish you all the best for what comes next 🤝

We would also like to thank the committee for trusting us to take over the catering and for their help in getting us ready to hit the ground running on opening day 🎉

We also can’t forget our amazing team which is growing once again, for their support in helping us maintain the quality service that our clients have come to expect at both existing events and also as we grow into events at the Golf Club. We’re delighted that many familiar faces will be remaining at the club and we can’t wait to welcome them into the KH family.

We hope to provide a seamless transition in taking things over but everyone’s patience is appreciated while we establish new systems and find our feet. We can’t wait to get started and look forward to bringing our high standard of fresh food and friendly service to both regulars and visitors alike, throughout the season.

We will still be available for outside events and all existing bookings remain as discussed, so please get in touch if you have an event in mind and would like a quote 🥂🍾

After some weeks of contemplation, we have made the decision to end our arrangement with Thornhill Golf Club to provide the catering. In fact, we are closing our business, JD Catering, completely 😔

The decision hasn’t been an easy one, however we feel it is the only option for us. My
physical health has suffered from being on my feet in the kitchen for so many hours, day after day, during the season. On top of that, we miss a sensible work/life balance and have realised just how important that is to us, particularly family time.

I have also had a part-time job over the winter and conclude that is much more suited to me and to our situation. If only I was younger and fitter …

We have really enjoyed the last 3 years and appreciate the support that the committee have given us throughout. To those of you who have supported our business, we are truly grateful 🙏☺️ We’ve had loads of happy times and have enjoyed the laughter and enjoyment at some of our events, particularly the bingo and the pre-Christmas meals and party nights 🥳🍾

We will finish at the end of March. We have a few things planned before then, including our afternoon teas on 15th February and 15th March (Mother’s Day). I’ll put more information out about those events later this week, but if anyone wants to book a table for either of the above dates, please let me know
ASAP as I think they may book up quickly once we advertise them.

We hope to see many of you for a catch up before we finish.

We’re really excited to see what BJ entertainment bring to our Children’s Christmas Party this year 🎄🎅🏻🎈🤹🎁
Their entertainment is suitable for all children up to 12 years old and the best bit is we can focus on looking after the grown ups! The coffee machine will be on, the bar will be open and there will be free nibbles for everyone. You can relax and enjoy yourselves as your wee ones are well looked after 😌 ☕️🍺🍾
